Manta Restaurant

I thought the menu was limited. The food was ok. The over all food has declined over the past few years.

Went on September 23rd there, the ambience was nice, ordered burrata, oysters and beef tenderloin. Everything was delicious, despite slow season there was nice live music and our server was attentive and always checking on us if all good. Orders came on time. Enjoyed the night out and especially was happy to see manta rays!! Didn’t want to go to water at night to see them and this place literally made it happen the best way. Also stars at night in the sky are amazing!

Food presentation, taste & sourcing phenomenal. Service above & beyond. View incredible...sunset over palms & beach...amazing! A bit pricey, but...would do it again in a heartbeat due to overall ambiance/food. We had scallops ravioli appetizer, catch of the day, wine, & Alaska Bombe for dessert. All was very good. We saw TWO manta rays after dinner...huge, amazing! LOVED them!

Another outstanding evening at Manta. The food, the ambiance and the service were all excellent once again. Our go to place for a great dinner and evening out on the Big Island. Our host Michael, was welcoming and most accommodating!

Of course.... Unbelievable setting , service, food, unique drinks . And then the mantas... beautiful Chef Michael's desserts were outrageous... all 4 of them

Marcus is a fantastic bartender me and my wife loved him, he is a great person a wonderful waiter/bartender!!!! The food was great a little pricey but worth it. The sunset was beautiful I have nothing to complain about had a great time

I brought my kids to the Manta and as soon as we stepped into Mauna Kea they were so taken back by how beautiful it was. We went to the restaurant and it was a wonderful experience for them. Food was great, service was perfect everything was a real treat for my kids they were dazzled!

We absolutely love this restaurant. Special shout out to Kimo (James) and Bronson. Excellent service, amazing staff - all. We will be back.

Absolutely beautiful setting. My wife and I went for dinner and made sure the reservation was during sunset, it was spectacular. Service was very good but not exceptional and the food, in our opinion, while very good, was also not as good as we thought it should be for the price. This would be a spot that I’d say you should treat yourself to once if your budget allows, but we won’t be back at that price point.

It was our best meal yet on the Big Island. From the service, wait staff, view, and meal it was superb. Seeing the mantas juts topped off the night. We will be back the next time we are on the Big Island and I will recommend to friends!

My husband and I had an unforgettable dinner at Manta! The oceanfront setting is absolutely stunning — the perfect place to watch the sunset and maybe even spot some manta rays at night. The food was excellent: fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Every dish felt thoughtful and local. The service was also top-notch — Bronson was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. He also did some amazing photos of us. Manta is definitely one of those rare restaurants where everything comes together perfectly — atmosphere, food, and service. Highly recommend for a romantic evening or special occasion! Can't wait to come back again to this delicious and beautiful place!

Overall a great place for dinner. The food, service and ambience are great. If you like uni, the uni pasta app is a must get! Added bonus is the manta ray show at 9pm.

Wonderful atmosphere. Great food. Excellent service but did not check in on our meal until well after it was served.

Delicious food and amazing views. After dinner we went and saw the Manta Ray's, stunning to see them gliding in the water so effortlessly. Our server Breanna was awesome, very kind.
