Manta Restaurant

We were lucky enough to stay in Hawaii for eight days and our dinner experience at Manta was the highlight of our trip. The ambiance and sheer quality of the food and service was unmatched compared to all of our other dining experiences. Stand out personally was the bistek with the oxtail marmalade and the side of sweet potato leek. I can't wait for my next trip to come and enjoy again!

The only good thing about this place is location and views. First of all be ready to pay $20 for parking. While they position themselves as high end restaurant - silverware, french press, plates looks like it's from 80s. Old and outdated. Out waiter (lady) was extremely arrogant from beginning. She completely messed with our order - brought wrong type of breakfast. She did nothing to fix it, just argued that she heard it like that. We paid $130 in total for 2 persons. It's not kind of experience that you expect for this money.
Will never visit again and won’t recommend to anyone.

You know- the food was great. The atmosphere and food were fantastic. Everything wasn’t perfect, like all of our businesses; but you know what was perfect… the authentic, sincere ways that the staff apologized for a delay. A free desert, that was not expected. The genuine nature of the staff, not demanded from management. The 5-stars is 100% because of the staff, even though all was very good. My compliments and thanks. This is a treasure to discover.

Delicious food and wonderful view. We loved the burrata salad and mahi mahi. Gorgeous sunset

The food was very underwhelming. Our starters of oysters was not presented cold the mignonette was very bland the sashimi was good but the ponzu sauce was also bland. The salad was also very bland with no flavor. The special Kansas steak was really good but came with only 3 pieces of broccolini and no other sides. When we asked about starch we were told for an additional 15 dollars we could get potatoes. The dish was $90.00. My seafood dish was super fishy and the scallops and mussels were uneditable. The sauce again was bland and lukewarm at best. We got the goat cheesecake which again lacked any flavor.

We excpected better service and better selection of menu options given the prices. The food was not particularly exceptional. We dined here several years earlier. There has been a downgrade of standards in our opinion.

Manta is an absolutely beautiful restaurant, overlooking the ocean & beautiful grounds. Our waiter, Jessica, was friendly, polite,& knowledgeable. Her presence enhanced our dining experience. Our assistant waiter, Joe (from Brazil) was also helpful, friendly,& polite.

The rack of lamb special was spectacular! Fish special was also delicious. Service was friendly and attentive. Truly special and wonderful evening.

wow, better than we expected. interior design, staff & service, food…trifecta! i wish for everyone to try their “scallop ravioli”, a delicious dream!

Showed up early for the reservation. Was seated 15-20 minutes after our reservation time. Staff didn't seem on the same page with communication. Food was solid but not worth the price and experience.

Everything comes smothered in multiple ingredients. Not my taste. Outstanding service. Nice people. Beautiful room.

They refused to serve us because we weren’t staying at the hotel. After some back and forth the explained they want to reserve occupancy for guests but all we really wanted was to do a take out.

From the moment we arrived, the hostess was welcoming and gracious, and our server, Pohaku, made the evening truly special with excellent service and great recommendations. The food, atmosphere, and service all came together for a memorable night.
