Great food, fun atmosphere. Really cool to see the love of the culture and island through their dance. Great experience, would totally recommend! Right on the ocean with a great backdrop. Food was served outside so we could enjoy the beautiful Hawaiian weather

Absolutely loved the luau. We only have one very minor note: provide more tables for drinks and bags near the photo shoot. 😉
I love the intimacy of this luau, not overcrowded like others we've been to. The performers were amazing, especially the fire dancer. And the MC was very welcoming, keeping us engaged with his story-telling. This is the second time we've been to this luau, I would definitely recommend it!

We booked the luau on a date that fell at the start of the Kona low storms. I was thrilled that a Rep from the luau called 2 days before to give us the option to change locations for an indoor experience or cancel. We went with the indoor and it was much better than we expected! Thankfully, it didn't rain and the fire dancers were able to dance and finish the show outside. It was lovely!
There were a few reasons I chose this specific luau. I wanted a small, more intimate experience and not feel like I was at the back of a concert venue unable to see. This was perfect! We also had a variety of dietary restrictions in our group including vegan and vegetarian. There were so many options on the buffet, it was great! They even provided a full vegan plate for my husband and had vegan dessert options.
I've been to quite a few luaus and have had a variety of experiences. I am thrilled that my family's first experience was so great! Thank you for accommodating the weather and providing memories to go home with π΄

I'd say this is the best Luau on the island.
The food was an authentic Hawaiian meal: great poke, poi, teriyaki chicken, kalua pork, there wasn't a bad thing in the buffet.
The performance itself was inside due to rain, but the show was excellent nonetheless and it was cool to learn about the history of Hawaii in this way. You can tell that the dancers and the MC stewarded the Hawaiian culture and story well.
Overall 10/10 I have already recommended it to people. This is a must do.

This was our 2nd Luau in Hawaii. The first one we did at the Hilton was horrible and the food was bad. This experience was amazing! Great Service, Fantastic Food, and the show was quick, entertaining, and engaging. The staff were great and this is how it should be done. Glad we were able to make it and expreince this event. Would recommend for the family and kids. Again, as a picky eater I was very impressed with the food selection and quality being served! A+

Really special experience, the food was amazing and the entertainment was incredible. The storytelling and dance was our favorite part aside from the food. Thank to to everyone who makes it happen! My boyfriend and I had an absolute blast. beautiful sunset also.

Best luau I have ever attended! It was much smaller than typical so was more interactive. The story teller was very talented with a beautiful singing voice and explained the imu process very well! The other people on stage were his family and very talented! Chief performed a superior fire show to all others I have seen. My 10 year old son was captivated by the show! The food was even better than typical!

The Hale Hoaloha LΕ«'au at the Mauna Lani exceeded my expectations. The event was conveniently held on a lawn within close proximity to the hotel. The food was considerably better than I had anticipated---the seafood options (pokΓ©, sashimi, cocktail shrimp), in particular, were of excellent quality and flavor. The meal is served buffet-style with several dozen selections available. The event was mostly self-service, but there were numerous staff that helped to direct traffic, bus tables and cater to guests. The entertainment was enjoyable, if slightly cheesy. There was hula dancing, fire-juggling and music. The weather cooperated beautifully with clear skies and a robust breeze to keep things cool. Highly recommend!

The Luau at the Mauna Lani Hotel is first class! James and the welcome team couldnβt have been more friendly and gracious. Mahalo, James! The food was onolicious! And the show was very special. A true Ohana experience, as many of the performers were literal family members. The musicianship, the singing and the dancing were all great. We especially enjoyed how the performers engaged the crowd in the show. We have enjoyed other Luau experiences but this one is the best we have ever attended!

First time for our family at this Luau and we loved everything about it. Our kids (17yrs & 12yrs) came out of the show remembering the mountains that were mentioned. Beautiful story of love being weaved through the dances & songs. The food was amazing! You wont be disappointed.

For reference my Husband and I paid for the upgraded Ali'i experience. Upon arrival we were greated with cocktails and beautiful white shell leis. We were pretty excited to have these as they are a great keepsake which will last. The package came with a lovely photo souvenir which was taken right as we arrived. Perfect timing as we were still fresh from getting ready.
After photos were were taken to our table. With the Ali'i package we had a lovely private table in the front row, and we had a private server who kept bringing us whatever drink we requested all night. There was also a plate of appetizers on the table which we could snack on. I recommend getting there early as there are some traditional activities to experience. These were all fun and only at the beginning.
Once everyone arrived the MC kicked off the evening with the pig coming out of the ground. The Buffet then is opened. The staff set up 2 buffet tables and you can get food from both sides so the lines move fast. There was a variety of delicious food, everything was very tasty. After every one had their food the performance started.
The dancers were amazing. They were so beautiful in all of the performances. They showcased dances from a variety of areas and the highlight of the show was the fire dancing. The performances were broken up with interactive portions and audience participation so it os great fun for the whole family.
Overall I would highly recommend this show.

So fun! The dancing was great! The host had a great voice, loved the story telling. They had a time of learning to Hulu dance, totally fun. Food was delicious. You watched them dig the pig up. It was just fantastic. The wait staff was prompt waited on you like you were a king.
