This was our third visit to Merriman's Waimea. It is always so delicious! The use of local ingredients and the skill of the chef make for an excellent meal anytime. The atmosphere is very nice and comfortable. Our party would definitely recommend the Kaluha Pork Saimin, the Taro Hummus, and the Ono was the best fish we had ever had!

Best on the island. Wonderful food, efficient but not overbearing service. Local tomato salad...wonderful ripe tomatoes that actually taste like tomatoes, Lobster ravioli great, and ono en papiote (sp?) was a unique preparation when we've eaten so much commonly prepared fish this trip (can you say macadamia-crusted mahi?). Thanks for another great evening!

We started with the ginger martini, which was on point. The ginger flavor was subtle and the martini with just a hint of sweetness.

Next we had the beet salad. The macadamia nuts added to the texture of the salad. The dressing added to the flavor of the beets without overpowering them.
