Staff is always very friendly, food and drinks are always amazing. Their chicken katsu curry is a must try. Easily one of my top 5 favorite places.

The staff, made us feel unwelcome and with half of the restaurant empty they didn't want to accommodate us saying we don't have a reservation. We didn't get to try the food, so can't comment on that but I'm definitely not coming back to this place EVER.

Amazing chicken broth ramen with fresh noodles and super fresh sushi. I love the variety of the menu - ramen, sushi, yakitori, katsu and evern a curry, (the grilled butterfish is another favorite of ours). Reservations are required as the place is small but very popular. The staff is super friendly and recognizes us each time we visit. Always a must at least once, if not twice each trip as the prices are super reasonable.

We were genuinely shocked by the service here.

One of the skewers we ordered was clearly burnt so we let the server know. Instead of helping, she questioned us: “Do you even know what it’s supposed to look like? Are you Japanese?”😅😅😅

This was incredibly rude and racist. You don’t need to be Japanese to recognize burnt food.

The attitude ruined the entire dining experience. Food quality aside, the way staff handled the situation was unacceptable. Definitely not a place I would recommend, and we will not be returning

Chill night out with my crew at MOA Kitchen — and wow, now I get why everyone’s obsessed! 🍣🍜 We ordered way too much (as always 😂) — ramen, sushi, sashimi, and a few small plates to share. Everything was spot on.

But the highlight? KUBOTA. Smooth, clean, and dangerously easy to drink. 🍶
Good food, good laughs, good sake — that’s the vibe. 💫

I came here twice during my visit to Hawaii and drove out of the way because the quality of the food is THAT GOOD. I ordered so many things on the menu, and everything was ridiculously tasty. Their spicey chicken miso ramen was rich in flavor and the portion was just right. Their yakitori skewers truly are incredibly good and are a must. The flavor it gave to the tomatoes and shitake mushrooms was my favorite. The sashimi: wow. The cuts of fish are the most generous I have ever seen and the fish is fresh. I had to bring my husband with me a second time and everything we ordered exceeded our expectations. This place is a must if you're ever on the Kailua Kona side. Of course, staff is very welcoming and friendly. I felt right at home and had some of the best meals during my vacation.

I highly recommend Moa’s Kitchen! While visiting the island, our group of eight visited the restaurant for two different dinners. The appetizers were incredible, the sushi was so fresh and one of the best we’ve ever had, and the Ramen was amazing! I would highly suggest eating here!

A hidden gem in Waimea. Their yakitori, sashimi, and sushi rolls were excellent. Try the shiitake and zucchini yakitori - an explosion of flavors and will make you love vegetables. Great service - we came back twice. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

Service was great, including the atmosphere the food was good including the spicy edamame. But... The Hawaiian spicy ramen wasn't up to my expectations, I give the ramen 6/10 the spicy didn't change, but not trying to be a buzz kill but that's for the ramen I'll say its good the ramen but the spicy wasn't up to the expectation that I want it to be but it's okay I'll still come, the vibe was good and service again awesome 💯💯

Was here 2 years ago and had one of the best sushi dinners. Unfortunately the sushi chef is no longer here..now it’s no longer a sushi restaurant as they only serve tuna, salmon, and yellowtail sashimi but no nigiri..

Non-traditional but excellent ramen. Salad with gobo dressing also excellent. Chicken katsu very good but I wish they had pork katsu. Has inspired me to find a local source for gobo dressing to use regularly.

We had the green salad, tan tan ramen and a few sushi rolls. We enjoyed it all. Would recommend for a casual Japanese dinner in Waimea!

I had the chicken ramen, gyoza, and edemamee .
My wife had chicken curry.
Dessert was panna cotta.

The food was very well presented and delicious.
The dessert was amazing.

The best thing was the feeling of home, with the warmth of the servers and the manager, who is also the cook

I would recommend Moa Kitchen as a reasonably priced and nice place to enjoy a good meal.
