Great food. Heard pancakes were large. They weren’t kidding. Two was too much but they were delicious. It is cash only. They have an ATM on premise but my card didn’t work. So walked across the street to the Long Drug Store and used their ATM.
We loved this locals spot. They were extremely friendly and did a fantastic job despite the sign staying that they were short staffed. Our breakfasts were enormous and delicious!
This local diner is a welcome change from the tourist offerings in Waikoloa. Portions are large, so beware! I had a BLT that was loaded with crispy bacon. The fries with it were perfect - hot and crispy.

The Hawaiian Style Cafe offers a delightful dining experience with its recently renovated, light, and airy interior. Renowned for its exceptional pancakes, the cafe serves fluffy, delicious pancakes that are a must-try. The restaurant also offers generous portions of Portuguese sausage and eggs with vibrant orange yolks, as well as large, fluffy pancakes served with butter. The hash brown portions are also generous. While the pricing is reasonable, there is a chance of wasting food due to the large portions.
The cafe is known for its wide selection of options, including banana mac nut pancakes and loco mocos taken to the next level, with hamburger patties, cutlets, sausage, and other proteins. Egg and meat plates that include two starches, such as hash browns and a pancake or waffle, are also popular choices. The service is quick, and the staff is friendly and attentive, keeping cups filled and smiles flowing. Despite the usual line, customers can simply add their name to the waitlist at the front door and receive a text when their table is ready.
