I went specifically for buckwheat pancakes but waiter said they haven't served buckwheat and taro pancakes for over two years. They need to take it off the menu. Asked for hash browns no butter, waiter said guy in the kitchen was grouchy. So the answer was no. We only had oatmeal and raisins as an option which was very good and the coffee were good too. 4 stars for the items that we did have. 0 stars for no diet accomodations. The waiter was very nice so he's not to blame for the low rating.

The ambiance is actually really cool and appropriately old school, and the waiter was really friendly. Unfortunately many of the things we wanted were not available - simple things like buckwheat pancakes and vanilla coffee. Anyway, management should really work on ensuring that the menu basics are available and that the cooks are a bit more flexible with specific requests.

If I'm staying in Kamuela/Waimea area, this is my favorite stop for breakfast, unless it's Saturday, in which case you really should be at the farmer's market next door on the Parker School campus. The breakfast menu options include all of the usual breakfast options eggs and meat choice, pancakes and waffles, loco moco, french toast, omelettes, eggs benedicts, but they also have huevos rancheros because who do you think taught the paniolo to be cowboys! Google the paniolo history. Hawai'I had cowboys before the United States and competed in competitions for years. A little bit of history for you. Breakfast specials also often include breakfast burritos and special meat or omelette options. It's usually quiet here too.

The food was tasty enough but incredibly small portion, 1/2 slice of French toast, 1 egg and 2 pieces of bacon belongs in the child's menu! Waitress was either very poorly trained or just didn't care or both. Stood at the counter for 10 minutes just to pay our bill, there were only two other tables in there at the time.

Walked in and seated ourselves as the sign said. Sat and waited for someone to come and help us. Two other groups came in and without waiting their orders were taken. Left disappointed. Won’t go there again and will let everyone we know about our experience.

Well that wasn't good. Food was cold over cooked, tasteless. Sent back to the kitchen to redo. No drink refills cold coffee. Restroom looked like a bomb went off, no towels, toilet won't flush and was full of..... Would not recommend!

Overpriced, and service not great - had to send food back (well done steak still bleeding on to the plate). I had the ahi special, which was overcooked. No alcohol either.
