The workers are always nice, quick, & efficient even when there’s a long line! They have a wide variety of sweets including ice cream & milkshakes

I bought one of my favorite Dubai chocolates for $14 each — quite expensive for such a small piece, but I love them, so I went ahead with the purchase. Unfortunately, just 5 to 10 minutes after stepping outside with the chocolates in my bag, they completely melted.

Since they were meant to be a gift, I returned to the store and explained the situation. However, the staff offered no assistance or solution at all, which was very disappointing. Given the price and the nature of the product, I expected better customer service.

I LOVE DAVE'S ICE CREAM IN WAIPIO!! These sweet girls are so kind and patient. All the items I order are prepared properly and kindly with Aloha. Besides for how sweet they are, there are some issues with some of these others girls attitude. Acting rude and harsh towards me with no kindness. They are rushing me and showing inpatience. Very unprofessional. These girls need to show respect and Aloha. Also they need to stop giving dirty looks to other customers. (Majority of the workers are super sweet, the rest are rude)

When I was paying for my large shake today ($10+), I asked the girl for one of their loyalty cards and if she'd stamp it for my purchase. She told me they didn't have any cards because they were stopping doing it. (It was a small business size card with 10 rectangle boxes and you got a stamp in each box for every scoop of ice cream you bought and three stamps for a large shake. Once your card was filled with 10 stamps, you got a one scoop cone for free.) I think that's the greediness of the owner that's halting their loyalty rewards program. The girl even told me the Dave's in Aiea is still doing it. So I've decided I'm not going to patronize Dave's Waipio anymore. Their loyalty program and their friendly and courteous workers is what kept me a customer. You can get a real shake at Jack in the Box for around $6 for a large and for around $7 at Baskin Robbins. So why would I continue to pay close to $11 + tip at Dave's when they don't give a rip about me. I SUGGEST A BOYCOTT OF DAVE'S WAIPIO UNTIL THEY START SHOWING THEY CARE A LITTLE ABOUT THE PEOPLE THAT WERE SUPPORTING THEIR BUSINESS. I'D SUGGEST DOING THE SAME FOR THEIR TEA BUSINESS NEXT DOOR TOO. IF THEY WANT TO STOP SHOWING APPRECIATION FOR US THEN WE NEED TO STOP SHOWING APPRECIATION FOR DAVE'S WAIPIO AND THEIR TEAPRESSO BUSINESSES. ALOHA DAVE'S WAIPIO!!! YOU'VE LOST THIS ONE LOYAL CUSTOMER BECAUSE OF YOUR HIGH PRICE GREED FOR SURE.
As for their shave ice.. Mountain Magic Shave Ice in Waikele is bigger, better and has way more flavors to choose from a well.

Overpriced in general

My child had the ending of an ice cream and when she got it she said it tasted freezer burnt. (normal occurrence here) So I asked for another flavor upon the employee telling the girl why she literally scoffed and laughed I asked her I didn’t know it was normal to laugh at a customer and she couldn’t even talk or look at me. Terrible workers and overpriced.

We got a scoop of mango ice cream in a waffle cone for $6.50--a price we deemed rather high especially considering that it tasted like straight vanilla with barely a hint of mango if you really concentrated hard. Got the kids these teeny tiny pre-made cones for $2.99 each. They liked them, but boy were they expensive for what they were! The employees were very courteous and efficient and the shop was very clean or it would've gotten 2 stars from me.

amazing service, they literally had frank ocean playing when i was there. Not only that but, the ladies were very nice to me and my sister. Amazing ice cream place would go again
