Food was really good. One of the best Hawaiian food places I've eaten at. But the service was crap. After they took our order and we got our food they didn't come back to check how things were or ask if we needed anything else. And when we finished our meals they handed us the check without even asking if we wanted dessert or anything, which I was gonna get their haupia sampler but ended up not getting because they seemed eager for us to leave. Love the Highway Inn in town so visiting this one in Waipahu as well. Busy in both locations, which is a good sign that it’s good! Recommend making a reservation beforehand to save time waiting. There is a takeout counter that helps streamline things better though.
The taro chips in the kalua pork nachos was great, I'm not normally a fan of taro chips. The Hawaiian combo platter comes 4 different ways and is a lot of good tasting food. I highly recommend this restaurant.
