Food is always delicious. My favorites include the cowboy burger, the homemade Mac n Cheese, and the chicken Alfredo Fettuccine.
The staff is polite, quick, and always smiling.
It tends to get loud but honestly who doesn't love a good home-town feel restaurant filled with chatting and laughter at every table.

Good food, nice place, lots of seating options, including a gathering place for a larger group.
Chicken fried steak was very tender and delicious. White gravy very good. Potatoes a little too whipped, not a fan of brown gravy next to the white gravy, Green beans canned, warm ciabatta dinner roll very nice.
Western omelette tasty, a little more scrambled than omelette, so good he didn’t mind. Good hash browns assorted toppings available.
Good cheap coffee endless pot. $3.50 for two cups.
So far best breakfast in Algona.
Highly recommend.
Second visit. The owner won’t let you swap a vegetable side for a cup of soup, which is also listed as a side. If your lunch plate has a listed vegetable, generally canned green beans, vs. a nice little cup of homemade soup. Forget it. Our waitress was great she got me broccoli instead of canned green beans. Broccoli was let’s say a notch above raw, it was a great addition to his Southwest salad.
They have some good looking cinnamon rolls, but the staff drop the check with no mention of a sweet treat offering.

Terrific lunch! We had the pork burger with homemade potato salad. Outstanding, I had never had a pork burger before and will definitely be back. Owners were there and very friendly. In town for a family reunion and will definitely come back again next year.

Great food! Great service!
Great prices $14 for steak and eggs easily $20+ lots of other places
I've lived here almost 3 years and don't think I've had a bad experience and have been what I'd classify as a regular customer. A few times it may have not been perfect, but they are routinely good and fast. They do get slammed at certain times and sometimes that makes an impact on wait, but that's anywhere. Yes, I'd give them 5 stars. Across the street you have about 3 or 3.5 stars, the clown next door is about 2 stars sometimes 0 stars; the national brand gets you about 2 stars a block away and the price is double and service is weird at best. Great breakfast, great sandwiches and burgers, love the spaghetti and a very good chicken salad too!

Food portion size has drastically decreased since ownership changed from Danny and Cheryl. 2 omelets and some hash browns, $28 bucks! That breakfast used to cover the entire plate and you couldn't finish it all and had leftovers to take home. Not anymore. Very disappointing. What you get for what they charge, it's not worth it. Sorry chrome this is a fail!
We had over a l hour wait from waking in the door until we received our food. It was also loud & noisy.
Remember those mom n pop type places you went to as a kid? Well this is one of those. Good food, good service
Best coffee in Algona, friendly staff, and wonderful food choices. Strongly recommend, even for people with dietary restrictions, they're happy to accommodate.
Best breakfast in town. I am sure the rest of the menu is good but all we ever get is breakfast even in the afternoon!
