We stopped in yesterday and bought some bakery treats. The cookies were stale. I also bought a loaf of bread and it was fairly pricey for bread but what really put it over the edge was when I asked to have it sliced. They charged me extra for having it sliced. Very expensive for what you get. Also the gentleman in the back was rude
A friend had life threatening allergic reaction to a monster cookie, they sold her even after she asked multiple times if the cookie had nuts in it. Extremely unprofessional, please do better.

Amana Colonies Bakery and Cafe offers custom birthday cakes that impress everyone who tries them. The gluten-free options are appreciated, like the monster cookie. While the coffee is just okay, it comes in biodegradable cups. The staff has received mixed reviews, with some customers having positive experiences. The selection of items is smaller than expected, but there is a wide variety of bakery items available. The cozy seating area provides a quiet escape from the town's hustle and bustle. Pastries like the apricot struesel bread, kolache, and cream horn are highlights, though some items may not meet everyone’s expectations, like the apple strudel and cinnamon twist bread. Overall, it is a place worth recommending for those looking to enjoy delicious pastries and quality baked goods, all crafted with love and care by the owner and her family.
