Nice atmosphere. You need to pay for parking. Really bad service. We waited for very long to get our order in, the server was very slow, took very long to get our food, the other servers were all at the bar eating their food whilst a server was drinking when we and other customers were waiting to get their orders in.The table and floors were dirty, the coffee was cold, and the food had no taste, the fettuccine pasta was really bad and the meatball rigatoni tasted like they mixed canned tomato puree in the pasta. The food was very bad overall and it was very expensive too. 30 to 50 per person with one meal each and one drink, no desert included.

Got the Gnocchi today. I was not impressed with the portions and flavors compared to thier old gnocchi. Service was ok, but could have been more attentive.

Favorite place to dine in Ames! The Nutella Crepe for dessert is an added bonus!

This is cool little restaurant with some outdoor seating available. The service is great and the food is tasty. I love their soups and salads!

We came here for late lunch, party of 5, not too bad of a wait for a table. From there everything went downhill. It took over 10 minutes to get menus, then another 10 minutes for our server to take our order. I selected this restaurant based on the Yelp reviews and the menu items. Keep in mind they offer different dishes between lunch and dinner, which is fine, but the menu today was significantly limited as compared to what was shown on their website for lunch. Our party ordered grilled bread, breakfast croissant, turkey avocado sandwich, rigatoni, farm vegetable salad and tomato bisque soup. All were simply "ok". The soup came after all the entrees were served, presumably because they had to make another pot. But when I got the soup, it was lukewarm at best. I'll never return.

We enjoyed a variety of appetizers on the front patio in campustown, Ames. Antipasti and cheese plate were excellent. Great service. Reasonable prices.

Go ahead and stop in. We almost missed it driving by, even with gps directions. Choosing out of hundreds of nearby restaurants during ISU move in day, we chose this and I’m glad we did. It’s a little pricey but the quality is great. Their wine list included some great choices. They do have small plates but that equals room for dessert so after we both had the gnocchi, we ordered a tiramisu. The tiramisu is one of the best I’ve had and is clearly made in house.

The gnocchi was probably the best I have ever tasted! Their Italian dessert Tiramisu is 2nd to none!!!

I am not by any means an avid restaurant-goer. I don't have much credibility as a reviewer. But as just a regular guy who went to a restaurant with his girlfriend, this is far and beyond the WORST restaurant I have ever been to in my life. The atmosphere was interesting and the service was good enough, but the food just tanked the score... I wish I could give lower than a 1...Between my girlfriend and I, the check ended at just over $43. We only drank water, and didn't get any sides. Now this would be fine if the food was worth it.My girlfriends food could probably fit within a cup measure. That how little food there was. No breadsticks, no other sides of any kind, just the tiniest bit of Gnocci I have ever seen.My food, the Linguine, had a slightly bigger portion, but most of that was because I added shrimp to mine. The food tasted as if it was microwaved, and was genuinely worse than any pasta place I had been to. I wouldn't pay a quarter of the price for that food.I don't write many reviews, but nobody else should ever have to experience this.Save yourself the trouble and buy a frozen pasta meal. This isn't worth it.

The mushroom toast and pork belly were both excellent. Ingredients were fresh and the plating was cute. The crown jewel was the Aviation cocktail. Service was good and the staff was friendly. I’ll be back as the menu appears to have a lot of cool and interesting options.
