Perfect spot for something sweet after lunch - European-style chocolate shop and more. I enjoyed a delicious hot chocolate (worth it!) And hope to go back soon.

Warm, European vibe that feels like a living room: antique lamps, rugs, wood furniture, just a few tables and several armchairs (see photos). Perfect place to slow down with a well-made coffee and pick out chocolates or gelato.

European-style chocolates with a tradition dating back to 1913, made in the U.S. by the Stam family. Large case of bonbons, truffles, and fine caramels.

House-made gelato and a full coffee/espresso bar; they also make hot chocolate.

Extras: Iowa wines (e.g., Santa Maria Winery) and a few gourmet gift items.

Very friendly, patient service.
Excellent latte (great microfoam and latte art).
Gelato is spot-on.
Wi-Fi available in the dining area.

Pro tip: If you buy 6 or more pieces, pricing switches from per-piece to by weight—a better deal for gift assortments or sharing.

Bottom line: A one-of-a-kind chocolaterie/café—not a chain—with high-quality products, a quiet space to chat, and plenty of Old-World charm.

Amazing chocolates and drinks. I loved iced latte and especially the Champagne chocolate. It's an amazing place to enjoy handmade chocolates!

Dangerously delicious

Best Gelato I've had in the western hemisphere, the Forest Berry Gelato makes me wish they sold gallons instead of pints

The Irish creme chocolates are borderline magical

THEY DO SHIPPING NOW!!! (For non frozen goods)

Amazing chocolates and gelato. Sample, sit, play a game with a friend. It's an amazing little place to enjoy the summer air conditioning on Main Street!

Went there with a couple friends the other day. It was my first time going there and I was just blown away. It was so nice and cozy and I was expecting it to be pretty expensive but it wasn’t. I tried the cinnamon gelato with the truffled almond gelato on top and it was absolutely amazing. My favorite part was honestly the selection of chocolates. They had so many different flavors to try and they were all so good, the crème brûlée was one of my favorites. Will definitely be coming back again in the near future

Dietary restrictions: They have a variety of lactose free options which is great

I went with my husband to eat gelato. I love chocolate Stam, and I’ve had special moments there since 2021. Two days ago, I asked to try a flavor, and the employee gave me an almost empty spoon that barely had any taste. I sometimes try new flavors before I buy, but this was the first time I received an empty spoon, around 5 pm. I’m just writing because I found it strange and a bit embarrassed.

The cutest place! The ladies helping were so friendly and knowledgeable and let us know the best options for buying chocolates knowing we wanted some now and some for flying home to give as gifts. Highly recommend as a stop if you are in the area!
