“My husband used to frequent Pammel Deli when he was a college student at ISU about 20 years ago. We were traveling through Ames and he decided he was craving a gyro. It was BY FAR the best gyro we have ever had! It was flavorful, juicy, a bit messy, and absolutely amazing! The owner was as friendly as my husband remembers from his college years. As my husband was eagerly waiting on the gyro to be made, I strolled the aisles and found some delicious goodies to purchase. They have such a great selection! We will be back, possibly as early as Saturday because we drive through Ames again on our way home to Kansas City :) Thank you for being such a great store!!“
