Prices are reasonable and portion sizes are large, but food is a little below par. Sesame chicken was not very crispy, instead soft like a mush with sauce. Noodles were decent though.

West Ames HyVee is playing mind games AGAIN. Their constant rearranging products causing customers to spend endless hours of wasted effort such that even their employees cannot seem to find products....good job at mismanagement.

The only good thing about this hyvee Chinese is that the food was warm. They had barely any appetizers and barely any main course choices and side choices this is the most inconsistent hyvee chinese I've ever been to.

Some of the food is gross through delivery. I had undercooked beef and chicken and the sesame chicken was rock hard. But dining in is so good! Never can go wrong with dining in for some hy-chi!

They should teach their employees about customer service. Today I was told by an employee that it was not possible to use any form of electronic payment to purchase breakfast in house and she was not even willing to try. I have used it there many times to purchase the same meal on the same phone. Sad performance Hy-Vee.

Went in there 3 different times in a 2-3 weeks time span to order a cake and cookies for my graduation and got no help at all. Not even a hello. Was even looking at the cakes, the book of cakes, and the kiosk. And when I did get help she was very rude and didn’t seem to want to help me at all. Took my order to a different place and came out more than thrilled; will be going to there from now on. It was amazing! Will not be recommending this hyvee to any of my friends or family members

The latest Hy-Vee commercial is set to that 80-90's tune "..be a HERO till the end of the night." I'm here to say that the custodians, employees and managerial staff are second to none when it comes to being a HERO. Employees at the Hy-Vee West in Ames are "killing it." In the midst of COVID-19, they put themselves in harms way everyday so that I may feed my family. It has been said that the two things that make a career worth waking up for is; 1) being a part of a team, and 2) making a difference. Hy-Vee West is doing both and making it look easy. Keep rockin' it my friend! Yes, I'm talking to you.

Stopped in person to pick out an arrangement and asked for same day delivery. I was promised there would be no problem. Well, after several phone calls inquiring about the delivery and asking why the order had not been delivered as promised, I was told it was on its way now. Wow, didn't know it took 2 hours to go 2.4 miles. When i placed my order, I made it very clear the arrangement had to be there before 4pm. Well at 545 it finally showed up and the person whom they were to go to had left at 4:30. Needless to say, the intended recipient will never see them. VERY DISAPPOINTED in the poor Customer Service and will definitely NOT be promoting this HY-Vee to anyone.

At Hy-vee you can find everything you want, form food to hygiene stuffs. There are very good wines and types of meat. Prices are fair.

I use to love both Hy-Vee's Chinese section. But in last year I have been repeatly disappointed and am done after todays' selection. Panda express will now get my business. Sad as it was soo good and now not. I have had others tell me the same. My guess they lost the managers they had and replaced with cheaper help. mistake!!!
