Ordered food from them, they decided they just weren’t going to make it. Called and they said they were making it and then never did. Terrible do not order
Guys it's Ames, IA. The food is on par with a big city. I'd order from this place if it was there. I'm glad to see it survived the pandemic. Please don't condemn the only place in a 30 mile radius
Quiet atmosphere, friendly staffing. Food was great, and spice level was perfect!
Food is phenomenal! Little bit of a wait, but I would assume everything is made in house. Portions are very generous, we have enough for another meal. Didn’t snag any photos because I just dive right in, but the lamb curry, samosas, and naan were all fantastic! Husband had the lamb tiki masala, and he said it was tasty.
I swear this is the best Indian food I’ve had since I was in Japan having it. We have always tried multiple locations wherever we travel to and this is by far the most flavorful and delicious. We’ve only done takeout, but I wouldn’t care about the atmosphere inside based on how good the food is 🤤
Firstly over Prices, amount was not sufficient compare to the price. Food was not good, even not cooked well, they even didn’t put salt in the curry!
Waste of money.
Amazing food!!!
The food is wonderful. Best Indian food we've had here in the US. Portions are generous. Take away, eaten the next day, is still delicious.
The prices are ridiculously high. Food is served in plastic plates literally in take home boxes. “Dine in” services are not provided, You have to get your own water that’s set on a table aside (plastic cups again). It is not worth it! Go to an Indian restaurant in Des Moines for better food and better experience. I shouldn’t be paying $17 for chicken biryani served in plastic plate that looks like it’s from dollar tree and rice quality is not that good either.

Discovered this little place just across the street from the Collegiate United Methodist Church on Hayward Street in Ames, IA. I ordered the Lamb Tikki Masala and Garlic Naan, medium spicy. I was not disappointed. The food was so delicious. And the staff was wonderful and offered to help me decide what to order which would be helpful for any one trying Indian cuisine for the very first time. A wonderful after Church treat. ❤️

This is my go-to place for takeout. Have never had a bad meal from India Palace! The garlic naan and butter chicken are out of this world.
Food was actually sort of bland. I did addAsk for mild, but it was very bland.
Parking: Difficult to stop for pickup.

Firstly they were closed for dine in, so we had to takeout food. The prices were ridiculously expensive for the dishes. $5 for naan bread is crazy. The biryani had nuts and raisins in it which is weird for authentic Indian food. It was really bad and didn’t look or taste like biryani. The chicken tikka was sweet and the saag paneer was watery and bitter. The naan was ok. Over all 90 dollars.Had a bite and threw it all away, what a waste. Not worth a dime.Go to Des Moines if you’re wanting good Indian food.

Wouldn’t recommend eating here. It’s very overpriced and doesn’t taste that good. There are better options out there I promise you!

Lots of high quality food for a great price. Highly recommend for larger groups or for a meal to make you feel better when your sick. Although they have had to close dine in, and are not open as frequently, once they get enough customers it should be able to meet those demands. The spice level is also 1-10, meaning that people with no spice tolerance can still enjoy a great meal
