Cafe Beaudelaire Reviews
Outstanding service, environment, and food. Our waitress recommended really great drinks. Great place to go to after a game, will return!
This was a great spot. The food and service were excellent. The reason for the loss of one star was I was charged .95 for some (9 tiny) pickled hot peppers (expected). When I looked at the bill, I noticed an additional $1.90 charge for bottled hot sauce. This charge was not listed anywhere (and therefore not expected). I don't mind expected upcharges. However, I do not appreciate surprises on my bill. This was a nice little place, but tbh there are a lot of cool places in Ames....read full review
The premier Campustown eatery. Great Brazilian-style fare. Service is good. Not a large place so it can get crowded during peak hours. Great location in the center of town, right on Lincolnway, but this can also make parking a bit of an issue at times.

Cafe Beaudelaire in Ames offers a top-notch dining experience with a local pub vibe. Known for their delicious burgers, the restaurant also caters to dietary restrictions with Gluten Free Buns. The menu boasts a variety of vegetarian options, while daily drink specials add to the charm. The Greek salad with gyro meat is a must-try. Despite potential crowds during peak hours, the service remains attentive. The overall experience is delightful, with great food and drinks. Customers praise the Feijoada, the Original Bauru, and the Yuca Fries, as well as the Long Island drinks. The sandwiches and Greek salad are also highly recommended. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, and street parking is readily available. The atmosphere is well thought out and committed to, with staff that are attentive to guests needs as well as sociable. The food and drink can't be found elsewhere, and the atmosphere keeps regulars coming back for food, drink, and company. The empanadas were fantastic, highly recommended. The restaurant walls are covered in currency from many different countries, some dating back at least as far as WWII. The food was shockingly amazing, with burgers that are the best anyone has ever had from any restaurant. The prices are fair and the portion sizes are normal. This was very good and highly recommended.
