“This was a great spot. The food and service were excellent. The reason for the loss of one star was I was charged .95 for some (9 tiny) pickled hot peppers (expected). When I looked at the bill, I noticed an additional $1.90 charge for bottled hot sauce. This charge was not listed anywhere (and therefore not expected). I don't mind expected upcharges. However, I do not appreciate surprises on my bill. This was a nice little place, but tbh there are a lot of cool places in Ames. Next time, I'll likely go elsewhere. 😒“
