Now for the heart of Lockwood: the people. Austin- Sharron and their team Rory, Nikkia, Daphni , Marry are what truly make this place special. In town for the weekend and stumbled on this place to grab a quick coffee, and what a pleasant surprise! Such a cool spot in a unique location, and baristas were warm and inviting. Loved to see a free produce / canned goods cart and art from local artists for sale. There’s also a section that appears to host events. My crepe was delicious, and I’ll certainly be back whenever I’m in Ames again!

Wow, you knocked this one out of the park. Counter culture meets retro meets … everything. The food was creative and delicious. Presentation was chef level. Thank you for making food and people a higher priority than appearance and profit.

This place is adorable. Cozy and quirky outdoor seating, and delicious food. We tried the breakfast special, banana Nutella, Nutella, and fruit parfait crepes and literally everything was incredible.

I’ve known Lockwood Café since 2018, back when they were still renovating the shop and serving coffee and pancakes outside. This place has only gotten better with time the warm atmosphere, the amazing staff, and the excellent quality of their products make it one of my all-time favorite spots in Ames
