As a queer and trans person, lately when coming down to Ames I’ve felt a bit skittish in public. I also have celiac (gluten free) and my wife has a dairy allergy so finding food in town can be a challenge to say the least. In this context, Lockwood truly felt like an oasis of sorts. I want to sincerely thank them for their work to cultivate the space they have and to thank them for giving me hope for the future of Ames itself. I feel truly seen in a positive way for once!
