Fun place to have a party!
Nice place!
Note: I have not tried the restaurant. This is for the food truck.
Yesterday at ISU I tried the Macubana food truck. On one hand, the food was excellent buI had a difficult time eating it after seeing the kitchen... read on. The service was fine, typical food truck. But the cleanliness of the food truck kitchen inside was absolutely abhorrent. I have no idea how that passes health inspections -- absolutely filthy. Every visible surface had a layer of grime, even the bottle of spray cleaner I could see had a layer of brown filth on it. Yikes.
I like their cider on tap and great food as well.
My wife and I stopped in and had a great meal. Great concept and variety regarding mac and cheese. The staff was very helpful and nice.
Guy with long hair and glasses is the worst( charges for an extra sauce)
Food was delicious. Drinks a little expensive but overall good time.

Parking: Located on Welch in campustown, there is no street parking but a paid parking lot across the street from Macubana.

Kind of like a slightly better Applebee's but with a focus on mac and cheese and grilled cheese. Right in the heart of campustown by ISU, so it can get busy. I recommend going at an off-peak time.

A really good idea for a restaurant! A whole bunch of really good dishes that would slap on a drunk night out. I had the tomato, basil, and mozzarella dish. It was basically pasta. My partner had the barbecue brisket Mac and cheese, which was to die for! They also had a ton of different long Island ice tea flavors that were great! I had the Tokyo tea, which was awesome! My partner had the Nerds tea, and that was really sweet. It's not my flavor, but it's still good. Good prices and a good atmosphere! Right in campus town, so it's a perfect location for college students.

Charged us more than our bill was by 40 dollars! Refused to look in to why and said it had to be our bank.
