Not a great experience yesterday. Some of our order wasn't hot and the burnt ends brisket sandwich wasn't beef. It was an overcooked dry cubed up pork chop.

I visited Mullet's for the first time today and I was very pleased with my experience. They were very busy so I sat at the bar so I didn't have to wait. Jack was very tentative and got my order 100% correct, even while having to help serve drinks for people at the bar and drinks for the servers.
I got the Fraffle Rarebit, which is a breakfast sandwich with French toast waffles for the bun. My only "complaint" was that it was too much food to try and eat like a sandwich, so I deconstructed it and ate it like normal.

We spent almost 2 hours here, just to get cold and yet somehow burnt hash browns with all our meals. Service was tremendously slow at every step even just getting our bill to finally leave took an extra 10 minutes. We paid with cash so we wouldn't have to wait another 10-15 minutes it likely would have taken to run our credit cards. All this, and the restaurant wasn't even full, yet several groups were waiting to be seated when we left. We told them to all to run while they still could, so they wouldn't be trapped there for two hours. We will definitely not be back to this Ames location and stick to the ones in Ankeny and Des Moines.

We were just getting ready to leave when the gentleman who had seated us asked if the waitress had been over yet. No! he took our order but still have not received water after 20 minutes.

It took over 20 minutes to get our drinks. We waited over an hour for food that was mediocre. The waitress was at least transparent with us when I asked how much longer before our food since we had a game to catch. Many tables seated around us got food and service before us even though they were seated after us. With slow service, Mullets Ames will never survive.

Food was amazing and they had big portions. My brisket nacho could've fed atleast 3 people and they would've been full. Service was fast and prices were reasonable. Definitely recommend trying their margarita flights as well!

Apps were good, food took forever to get, like over an hour and a half. Pancakes were cold, burger didn’t have much flavor, pizza crust was cold. Waitress was great but kitchen is very slow and food was subpar.
Just went out to eat here with my son. Food came out quick, our server, Julianne, Was very kind and doing her job well! Pancakes have definitely improved within the last month, Eggs need slightly less oil when being cooked, Hashbrowns were perfect! We love the food here!

First time we went, wife had a stomach evacuation 20 min later. Second time waited 20 min for a waitresses with no attention. They were nit busy, just kept walking by. Even asked for help...ended up leaving. Mullets, your FIRED!

15 minutes after we got seated, we still didn't have anyone come to our table to greet us or get our drinks, I had to go back up to the front and let them know (it also was not very busy). A few minutes later she finally came to greet us and get our order. My food tasted okay but my friends order was completely wrong and she only had a few bites, we didn't have time for them to make new food. I've been to the location in dsm and enjoyed it, maybe this one will get better..
