Cool place

Started great. Tables were reserved and waiting for us. We had a special event celebrating. Waited over an hour for a drink while other tables got multiple rounds. Business did comp drink and give a gift card to return without a request from me. Only reason a 2 star instead of one star. If place was packed I could understand but our table was on of 4 when we ordered. Drink was decent but not worth the wait. Would give another try. Venue is nice.

I'm not sure if this is the responsibility of Noir or Open Table, but we had a twice-confirmed reservation and when we got there, they were closed ! It was a Sunday early evening, and both the Noir website AND the posted hours on the door said they were open at that time. Very disappointed as this was to be a special occasion.

The charcuterie was lackluster compared to what I had the last time I ordered it. 2 types of salami and basic cubed Swiss cheese. $13 Asked for blue cheese... got a cup of hard crumbles... extra $3. Won't make that mistake again. Drinks and flatbread were great as always.

They've had great music, blues and jazz. Nice place. They have a couple choices for Flatbread. Good, speedy drinks.

Very nice atmosphere and great drink selection. We were looking for something a little more upscale after dinner and I hadn't been to Noir before. It was later and quiet inside, but again great atmosphere and spacious so we broke off in groups.Didn't try any food so I can't speak for that.

It's a nice place with excellent cocktails. They should put drink prices on the menu though.

Terrible service. Only 2 tables and still had to go to the bar and order. Food was good.

Once again it was an outstanding experience! The drinks were great, out flat bread pizza was quite satisfying. The music was well worth the $5 cover charge. I recommend it to anybody!!!

I love NOIR. Unfortunately, we didn't stay for the music. It was day 2 of a birthday weekend, and by then we were tired :) I would love to see the Tony McGhee Project again. I can't afford the $100 a plate ticket for when they coming in December. It is nice to have a music venue in Ames. The acoustics sometimes makes it hard to hear conversations during the playing. Overall I enjoy the ambiance and feeling when I go to NOIR

Excellent venue! The cocktails were phenomenal! Perfect mix. No watered down bottom shelf swill, all top shelf drinks! Try the smoked drinks, unique and tasty. Flat bread pizza....perfect. Service was great, music good. No parking hassles... just about perfect all around. Arrive early, get a reservation. Joint filled up quick after 8:00pm.

Great food and drinks (though drinks are overly expensive). Waitress was not attentive. Band was to start at 730 and we planned to stay for an hour of music. They started at 815. MUCH MUCH too loud for the space - completely drowned out the singer. Too bad because they had a great sound but the volume drove us out. Apparently the staff knew the performance would start late but didn't mention it until asked. Reduce volume by half and we will be back :)
