Went to trivia night. Atmosphere was phenomenal. Our waitress was fabulous. The pizza was really tasty. Everyone's burgers looked great, I didn't try one but everyone liked them at our table and they were very well priced. Please go try trivia night, you can win free food and it's fun and engaging.

Beer is always ice cold but the food menu needs to improve. I feel if you want to rise above in Ankeny you need more options.
This was the final stop for my birthday outing! This is a close to home stop, and the food, drinks and service is always solid! Not to mention Heather is always a friendly face and we really appreciate her!
We were joined by my 2 sons and my son's wife. The place is staying clean and organized unset the new ownership and I really appreciate the bright and clean feeling the new ownership has installed. The bathrooms are also being maintained and clean, which is a nice touch!
My daughter-in-law ordered a jumbo pretzel $12 - and it was fresh, warm and enough to feed 5 people on its own! My son and I both ordered the wings $14 each, and they are very good here! My other son ordered a French Dip $14 - and he said it was excellent and would not share!
This was all paired with plenty of libation from the well stocked and clean bar, with many great local breweries on tap as well as specials on the domestics. Our total bill came up to around $120 for everyone - I did not do the math - I just paid the bill, however I don't think my birthday drink was free! ???
This has always been a fun spot and since the refresh this is still a solid choice for a sports bar in Ankeny! Come check it out!

Limited menu but decent food. Only about 7 occupied tables on my visit plus 8 people at the bar.
Had to wave the waitress down a couple times for drink refill. She was constantly at the opposite end of the bar talking to same guy. Inside looked like it could use an update or at least some fresh paint. Didn't look unclean just dated.
Parking was a hassle, being in a strip mall means shared parking. That end of the parking lot has several tenants and has been crowded often.

The best sweet potato fries ever. Cheese curds were very good too. Cheese burger and wings were also very good. Pretty busy, but we were served in less than an hour. Server was great, checked on us multiple times, brought refills without us having to ask, and she was just very nice in general. Came from out of town for an event but 100% coming back here whenever we are in the area. If you come here I highly highly highly recommend the sweet potato fries.
