We love Portofinos!!! The salmon dishes are my favorites!!! Great soups and yummy bread!!! We're close, so we walk there often!!!
We love everything we've tried there. We tried the Cream of Artichoke soup a few days ago and it was absolutely delicious 😋. Their basic marinara is spot on too.
The food is always fantastic! One of our absolute favorites!

Portofino's Italian Restaurant & Pizza is a charming place with outstanding food and terrific service. The daily homemade soups are fantastic, making the salad unnecessary. The ribeye with garlic and mushrooms is a great dish, along with the stuffed manicotti and pasta sampler, which are awesome. The atmosphere is charming, with Frank Sinatra playing at a volume that allows easy conversation. The portions are generous, the prices are affordable, and the food is to die for, including the chicken piccata lunch special with garlic knots and the unique chicken alfredo pizza. It is a locally owned gem, perfect for satisfying pasta cravings. The welcoming and friendly staff, like Richelle and Jorie, provide exceptional service. Don't forget to try the Salmon Piccata and the perfect cannoli! The restaurant is very clean, and the food is served hot, even for carry-out orders. While the food stands alongside San Diego's top Italian establishments, the manager's treatment of staff has been noted as disappointing.
