This is a fun little restaurant that may not be what you expect. We tried it out for the first time for our anniversary. We like to check out new restaurants, and we were in the mood for some Italian fare. Even though it's right next/attached to Dairy Queen in Ankeny, it has a lovely atmosphere, and you don't even think about what's next door.

We stopped in thinking it was still Yannis, the menu is quite similar to what it had been, so that was a happy stop. Excellent service, and the food was delicious.The lunch buffet is $15, and the food was better than another place we had spent about the same amount in the District the day before.

We enjoy the lunch buffet! The variety is great and the food is tasty. I especially enjoy the Pasts Alfredo, Chicken Marsala, Pasta Diablo, salad bar, and homemade soups. The great food is matched by wonderful service. The owner is friendly and truly cares about providing a nice experience for customers. She lets you know you are appreciated. On one occasion, I was not able to join my family for lunch and she sent home my favorite soup. On another she treated us to a complimentary...
