Although i have not been there in over 10 years. I used to be a regular in my 20's ..the place still looks the same , except now it looks and smells clean. I came out for a friends show. Not 5 stars due to the bartenders being more focused on taking shots then serving patrons. Girl with glasses was the only sober one and working her butt off behind the bar so i waited for her to cash me out, because the other one could barely keep her eyes open

Best place in Ankeny for live music. I even had the opportunity to see the Sugar Hill Gang (the first commercially successful hip hop band) here for free. They have had some epic concerts at Good Times, and the acoustics are first rate. If you have not been here and enjoy live music, I'm not sure what you're waiting for because it's a fun place. Good Times gets 5 stars for being the best place in town for live music and bonus points for two darts games. This place is fun. They don't call it Good Times for nothing.

I’ve been here a good amount of times and have always had a great experience. Tonight was the first time I’ve ever done something for myself and hosted a party bus with friends for my birthday. We started at good times and ended at good times. At 1:25am they called last call and they would only sell us shots. I ended up buying a round of shots for our group and asked for one Tito’s and red bull and they wouldn’t give me one as they were only selling shots? I asked the one of the bartender’s boyfriends if they could get me one drink and I slipped him a $20 bill and the other bartender threw a fit for “bribing” them for a drink and screamed and hollered throw me out. Even though I didn’t even say anything at all to them or made a big deal about it after they denied me a mixed drink a 1:25am. I could see if I was out of control and they cut me off but only selling shots and wouldn’t make a drink at 1:25am is alittle silly. But yet to treat someone like that over something stupid is absurd.

Very disrespectful bartenders. I came from out of state and got ZERO respect. I don’t usually leave reviews but was sure to leave one after this experience. Not acceptable at all. I worked in a bar for years and NEVER felt as disrespected as I did today.
Saw a video of men creeping on a couple women. they stated the bar did nothing to intervene. this place is unsafe for women. stay far away from people who condone such behavior

LADIES DONT GO HERE!!!!! If you do please bring a trusted man to watch your back. Thought this place was a vibe till I learned that they don't support women. Got harassed and creeped on in the parking lot and they did nothing about it. I even had video recording of the men coming up and being complete creeps outside my car window but the bartender literally said "they didn't do anything wrong." I'm so serious when I say if we had gotten out of the car instead of driving away and parking elsewhere, me and my friend would have been physically assaulted. 0/10 will never go again.

It's a solid place to go have a few drinks and play pool. A friend of mine from New Mexico wasn't allowed because the bartender thought he had a fake I.D., the owner was cool with but she wasn't, I respect her taking her job serious tho. He had no other form of ID. So we had to leave. I didn't rate the food cause I didn't order any. Honestly I didn't have time to see if the had food because my friend had to leave so I left with him. Wish a had a better review. I'll try this place again because at least they were nice.
