“New favorite spot in Ankeny! The atmosphere, staff and food were all phenomenal. Highlights were the Takoyaki, eggplant buns, and the RAMEN! I had the spicy beef and the husband had Tonkotsu, both were rich, flavorful and delicious! Also, the portions were huge!! We cannot wait to come back again soon to try more of the menu.“

“Just went here for my bday dinner last night with family (was a little worried due to reading prior reviews) and all 7 of us had an excellent experience! Bar tender was friendly and did a great job, and the wait staff served happily and quickly. Chef did a great job and entertained and engaged us, while we had delicious food at the hibachi grill. Caitlin was such an awesome server—super attentive and friendly—and Nick, the owner, made the night extra special by sneaking me a few extra sushi pieces to try (and wow, they were delicious). The food here isn’t your typical sushi spot at all—it’s next level. The French tapas were spot on, and everything I tried was amazing: the Ayu and Isaki sushi, clams in lemongrass broth, peach soup, and the fruit and goat cheese tart to finish. “Lunch at 11- order at counter. Simple and easy to understand menu. Gal at register super nice and helpful. It was my first time eating in.

Had the shrimp teriyaki with a salad. Salad was awesome- simply because it had more than lettuce! Broccoli, edamam, red onion, carrots...yay. The shrimp was overcooked, but still a good dish. I should have done fried rice, forgot how boring white rice is. Also did the scarlet sushi roll. A little spice, not too much. Had crab on top and I forgot what fish in the middle. Tasty.

Had my food in 5 minutes. Clean space. Plenty of seating for a quick lunch. Miss of booths, tables, high top. Parking a little tight and I missed the entrance the first time around. My fault.

$25 before tip. I had enough food for 2 meals, so that isn't too bad. Will visit again.“
