Holy smokes, in the area just visiting family and stopped for some pizza. THE BEST PIZZA I HAVE HAD IN A VERY LONG TIME!! Staff were amazing, atmosphere was amazing. It was so great that I thanked them for such a great experience.
Worth the drive to North Ankeny! Wife's Alfredo was very good! Garlic knots were great. Had two meatballs with my pasta (Cavatelli, meat sauce, and Graziano Sausage). Excellent. Go meat sauce or sausage, not both. While waiting for our our food we kept trying to decide what slices of pizza to take home. Portions were family sized. Could feed a good sized family with two portions of pasta! Will be back for pizza.
I want to give a big shoutout to Nona’s! Every time we go, the service is exceptional. They always have a unique slice of pizza to try, and their Sofia is absolutely to die for. I’ve started branching out, and everything I’ve tried has been incredible—the grandma, the old-fashioned, all of it.
