#1 The food is outstanding, worthy of 5 stars! #2 The wine list is very limited and not good selections. Oh, I wish they'd upgrade a little bit to take it to the next level. The food is worthy of a much better atmosphere and wine list. Doesn't have to be snobbish, but more complementary to the delicious menu. In the meantime, nothing is stopping us from going, but the potential is not met yet.
The lasagna is good don't get me wrong but ordering over the phone and the Bartenders expecting a tip is obsurd they try to force you to do it too that's why I stopped eating there if I dine in I tip if I'm ordering on the phone and picking it up I should only need to pay for the food not you.

The Ankeny High School graduating class of 1966 and 1967 celebrated their 60th and 59th reunions on July 11, 2026 at the Ankeny American Legion Hall and Portofino’s provided the catering. We were over the moon unbelievably impressed. They provided A meal for 80 classmates.
