36th Street Tavern

Travelling through Iowa and wanted to have dinner at someplace other than fast food. 36th Street Tavern was the place to go- food was excellent, atmosphere great, service topnotch! Check it out ..If we lived near we'd frequent this place often!

Service was not up to par and tables were dirty. Walked out since we didn’t get served.

Really great place for a drink, appetizer or meal. Excellent atmosphere to watch a game or meet up with a friend. Prompt, friendly service. We will for sure be back.

I had one of the burgers with a salad. The burger was very tasty on a nice soft bun. The salad was delicious with a couple kinds of greens and other veggies. Good selection of dressing. I recommend this place. Service is excellent, too.

My best friend and I visited after passing by for the last few months – can't believe it took us this long! We ordered drinks, apps and an entre and everything was AMAZING! We definitely recommend the Pink Panther or Mulberry Mule for drinks and the corn dip for an app! Service was great! We had Alexa for a server and she was just the best; ensured we were doing ok and that the food was great. Absolutely amazing despite being the only service on duty! We highly recommend!!!

I was truly impressed with dining at this restaurant. The kitchen in these types of establishments often go unnoticed, but here, it deserves high praise. The food’s consistency was remarkable; our dishes matched the photos perfectly and tasted just as exquisite. Even during lunch, the service was swift, yet we enjoyed our time without rushing. I’m delighted to have experienced this place and found the food as delightful as it appeared.

Tried this place after seeing some good reviews on Facebook. Excellent food, an amazing waitress who was so attentive (Rachel), and a fun environment. It was a great place to celebrate my birthday!

New favorite sports bar in Ankeny! Went to this place on a Monday at 5 pm. The place was fairly empty, so we got seated right away and our waitress was very attentive. Ordered the margherita flatbread with chicken. My husband got the boneless wings and fries. All the food was delicious and came out hot and fast. They even have homemade ranch to go with the wings. We will be back! This place is great.

I dont like a bunch of breading on my wings, so I did not like the wings. It can get loud while music bingo is going on.
