We stopped in yesterday and not only is it so cute. But the service was great and everyone was so kind!

Chlorophyll by far best coffee drink I have ever had! I think this was the best part of our Iowa trip.

Im a coffee snob, so I always just make my coffees at home. Well running late this morning so stopped and got a dr jekyl mr Hyde. The barista was wonderful! We chatted for a bit while my drinks were being made. I asked for hot and they accidentally made iced. Im not picky so I said it was totally fine. Blessing in disguise! The BEST coffee ive had EVER!! I will always recommend them!! Thank you!!

Coffee Apothecary is adorable with the cutest apothecary theme and decor. The music is fun and keeps the vibe light. The iced chai with a pump of pistachio is delicious and worth coming back for. It is also easy to get to with all the bike paths in Bettendorf.

I have two - HANDS DOWN - favorite coffee spots and this is one of them! I am obsessed with the PHD iced coffee but everyone I’ve brought to the shop has loved every single thing they’ve gotten. Also- I am not personally a fan of energy drinks- but if I did have one, it would only be from here! So good!
The staff - the owner - the people that I’ve met there- are all incredible! And it is SO cute and cozy inside! Also has a patio for the beautiful days! I can’t believe I don’t have 1000 photos but it’s so good I’m too busy to remember to take them. 😂

Food items are delicious. My dog loves the pup cups. Everyone is happy when we’re at Coffee Apothecary. 🥹🫶🏼✨

My coffee & sandwich were very good & the interior is so cute. However, the owner was conducting an interview & saying unkind things about other coffee places in the area. The Wi-Fi didn’t work so I had to leave.

“Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn and cauldron bubble”

After the less-than-stellar americano at 392Caffee, Emily and I decided to get more coffee later in the day and Coffee Apothecary happened to be right around the corner from Five Cities Brewing. Talk about convenient. So, after a few beers and the best meal, we dropped in for one last hit of caffeine before finishing out the day exploring.

When we walked in, they had just burnt some bacon, so the place was filled with smoke. Kinda fits the Apothecary theme, in my opinion.

Since we had just eaten a big meal at Five Cities, we opted for just a drink. Emily got their special HeLa CELL and I got my usual americano. They were out of brown sugar for the HeLa CELL so Emily got it substituted with caramel. We waited just a few minutes for the drinks to be ready and decided that despite the smoke that was lingering around, we would sit there and play some Uno while recharging our batteries.

This americano was exactly what I wanted all day. It was dark and bitter and delicious. I sampled Emily’s drink and the foam and salt and caramel were a perfect combo.

Compared to the other coffeehouse we visited, this one felt more traditional. It’s a bit smaller so large groups might have to sit outside or divvy up between tables. As for the aesthetics of the place, they really play into the apothecary theme. It felt rustic and antique in there, between the decor and the images on the wall. It almost reminded me of Little Raven Creamery that was open in Peoria at one point.

If you find yourself in the Quad Cities and want a nice change of pace from your usual coffeehouse, give Coffee Apothecary a try. Hopefully the burnt bacon smoke will be gone by then. Not entirely sure why one of the workers didn’t prop a door open to help air it out but it was like 95 degrees outside so… don’t blame them for wanting to keep the shop cool.

Sidenote: I do wish they had their logo that I saw on their Facebook available on either a magnet, sticker, or shirt. I love the look and vibe of plague doctors so to have that on something I can put up at home or wear would be sweet. Maybe they will have some merch in the future!

Until then, stay caffeinated!

Came with my family and all of our drinks were sooo good! The vibe is so cute and witchy, I wish we weren’t from out of town I would come all the time! So surprised it wasn’t busier. The service was great too and funny names for the drinks!

Tough for any coffee to taste good when you’re spending $5.75 for a lukewarm 20 ounce drip coffee.
So expensive they don’t even publish the prices. :)
