Five Cities Brewing - Taproom

I really wanted to like this place. The location is ok. Not enough parking. When you order food, it comes from another business next door. They charge you a to go fee for the food. Of which they don't inform you of, when you order. $15 for a burger and fries. It was a decent burger, but very greasy. I've had better for much less. Then I paid $8 for a normal sized beer on tap. That's just plain stupid for a draft beer. It was ok. My ticket was over $27 for a burger, fries and 1 beer. Definitely not worth the price. The service was average at best. You have to go to the bar to order food and drinks. No servers came to the table, except when delivering our food. I tipped as one should, but I was asking myself why tip? All they did was bring the food to the table. Nothing else. Our table was full of our empty plates and boxes, until we left. The other odd thing I noticed was a patron with their dog in the bar. It wasn't a service dog. I'm OK with the dog being outside on the patio area. But, shouldn't it be an issue when inside of the bar area and they are serving food? The dog was well behaved, so I really didn't care too much. Just thought it was kind of bougie.

Never go to this place. The food was overpriced and not good at all. Overly salty, and some how Manged, to be Is bland. Cheese curds were greasy, and it one big piece. All served in togo boxs, even if you eat there. Thank fully you get charged extra for the privilege to eat in to go boxes. The beer was mid at best. I can Rate the service. Because there was none you ordered at the bar pick up food at the bar, Throw everything away at the bar, you know Because of the to go boxes. But they still wanted a tip of course. And the entire restaurant had children running around it like a McDonald's Playland. The only saving Grace was and bar tends were Pleasant. There's a much better brewery down by the water, down town. Go there.

Great bartenders and an amazing selection of craft brews

The BOGO on Fridays is a fantastic deal! Always a clean establishment, friendly service, and ice cold beer. I love the sours they normally have on tap along with the Crush beer. You can also order food from next door which is a bonus!

We love the environment of Five Cities and how welcoming the staff is. Wish the 50% app were still a thing from Central Standard.

This brewery exceeded our expectations! Great feel inside and out. We enjoyed the delicious Schwifty Hippie Hazy IPA and Crush Tangerine Wheat beers on the patio. Highly recommend.

Went on a Friday around 6 with a group. The pineapple wheat was really good. The food was amazing. We got boneless wings, brisket mac n cheese, brussel sprouts, and cheese curds, and all of it was amazing. I'm still dreaming of the cheese curds, lol. Food took a bit to get out, but that's okay. From my understanding, the food comes from the restaurant next door, so they were probably busy as well, it being Friday dinner time. It was a nice evening and the garage doors were open so there was a lovely breeze. Oh, and they had ice water and popcorn on the corner of the bar.

Good selection of brews and great atmosphere

Have always enjoyed going to Five Cities, another plus is the ability to order food from Central Standard. Beer is good, some times it’s quiet and relaxing. Game days it gets a bit loud and hard to have a conversation. Overall a great place!

Amazing people. We are 2 1/2 hours east of Bettendorf. We were in town for only a short time and the brewery was unfortunately not open yet. We went next-door to the restaurant they run and they were able to accommodate us so I could purchase some beer for home. They couldn’t have been nicer. The pineapple bikini bottom is top notch.

Seems like kids are allowed again!When I researched this place, most of the 1 star reviews were about kids not being allowed. Nowadays there is a sign on the door which states no one under 21 are allowed inside after 8pm.Regardless, the tangerine wheat and pineapple wheat are delicious!Food can be ordered inside the brewery and they will deliver it from next door (central restaurant).Overall: good beer, good food, and good times!Plus they have bars games and a shuffle board!

We were very impressed with this brewery. The design, the cleanliness. The staff was very friendly and helpful ? There were 4 of us. All have different tastes for beer ? They were able to satisfy our tastes ?. Definitely will go back.
