We attempted to eat here a few weeks ago. Despite the restaurant being about 2/3rds empty, the host had to check with several others when we requested a table for five. We were told they couldn't accommodate us. I could muster more tolerance for the nonsense had they cited limited staffing, but the reason offered was that their policy prohibited them from pushing tables together or adding a chair to the end of table. I'm sure it had nothing to do with the children in my party. Incidentally, my kids are better mannered than your staff and spend money as well as your patrons.

The food is delicious! After going to Verde for the first time early this fall, it's where I wanted to go for my birthday. We have never disliked anything we've tried and the first time we went our group ordered one of each of the things on the menu! Each of the dishes we tried was not just good but superb. My one complaint is that some of the dishes are so rich I need something in between bites to break up the richness. A creative slaw or salad? Something light and bright. He is such a skilled chef to elevate these ingredients and develop amazing flavors. And the staff is so friendly. For such a nice restaurant the food comes out pretty quickly on a weekday. I anticipate my next Verde meal.

I came to Davenport IA on a whim to see a concert. The staff was extremely friendly and kind. They accommodated me even though I did not have a reservation. The place had a very cozy ambiance. I had the Verde Margarita and it had a very light hint of Elderflower not too overpowering. I ate the Carnitas tacos.and was not disappointed the tortillas were home made chipotle salsa was delicious and it had the right amount of onions and cilantro with a hint of orange zest.. I would totally recommend this place

This was an amazing restaurant. I have traveled Mexico and had some authentic excellent Mexican food this is at the top of my list of wonderful food. I was in Davenport on business and thought I would give it a try and so glad that I did. So so good!

The service was top notch! Food was delicious. I only have one suggestion. They “measure” out the wine in a shot glass at the bar. One, two, and a half….. It just seemed kind of tacky. I would suggest using a mini carafe, which I saw they had as well. It just takes away from the experience and atmosphere when they are meticulously measuring in front of you. Otherwise, 5 star experience!!!

Broderick served well at the bar!! Noah is a great ambassador for this restaurant. We had fun!! My chicken was the juiciest I ever had. The ceviche was amazing.

Ok…. We randomly wanted to try something new. We just got done moving our mother and honestly was exhausted. We sat down and the menu was not very large…. We were a little nervous. We order shrimp civiche as an appetizer. It was so good the four of us ordered 4 more! I ordered the pork belly with pineapple and it was even better than the civiche. Both Broderick and Noah took care of us….. amazingly. I would give this place 6 stars if I could. If you are looking for your average Azteca keep moving on. If you want amazing food and with incredible service….. Make a Reservation!
