Delicious place we stumbled upon while in Bondurant! The food was quickly prepared and delicious. Victoria the manager was personable, and helpful. The torta was made on fresh bread and the birria tacos were not too cheesy. We were both impressed by the menu and savory options.

Flame located in Bondurant consistently pleases our entire family.We’ve tried most all options on the menu and have not been disappointed. Any of their meals with birria as the meat option and a side of birria juice for dipping will quickly make you frequent customer.The service provided by Osiel is also top notch. His contagious smile, eagerness to provide each customer with a positive experience and genuine joyfulness easily make him an asset to the crew.We are always delightfully full and feel fortunate to have this option in our little town.During the warmer months, enjoy your meal on the tucked away patio. Or anytime of the year, grab a table and a beer at the adjacent Reclaimed Rails Brewing Company while having your Flame supper brought over to RR. They are also a great option if you’re looking for takeout.
Girlfriend thought I should try it and omg.. absolutely delicious and great service. I highly recommend this place, we’ll be back.

I LOVE this place. The food is fresh and delicious & the service is always great (Oseol is the best server there!). My favorite things to get are the trio, birria tacos, steak quesadillas, and shrimp tacos.
I don’t give many 5 star reviews, (perhaps the hipster juice IPA influenced my opinion), HOWEVER, the tacos are perfect. The best tacos are simple and proportioned correctly. Flame nailed it.

We stopped in after being at Reclaimed Rails next door. We saw people inside so figured we would try it out. Very glad we did! Very small dining room but the food was top notch! Chips and salsa weren’t free but order anyway! Fresh chips and 3 different homemade salsas. Not made in bulk. The food was fresh and you could taste the authenticity! Our waiter was attentive and came by several times offering more of everything. We had enough to take food home and got a bag of chips and salsa to go at no charge. The only drawback is that its not in Ankeny!

This is a hidden gem! Everything we had was awesome. We started with the guac and chips which had great flavor. We had the southwest bowl and enchiladas. We tried the birria meat and so glad we did! It was flavorful, and tender. It was all fresh. We will back!

2nd time we've been here and it's fresh, quality food, probably best buffalo chicken wrap I've had and the patio is huge and full of games for the kids. Highly reccomend! After dinner walk down the block and hang out at the city park or check out the local shops.
