“This was our first visit but we will ABSOLUTELY be back. Heard wonderful things and thought we'd be adventurous. We cannot handle spice, so we were a *little* nervous. We were also fully unfamiliar with Indian food other than what we'd heard, so this was a new experience.We ordered at the counter and has several questions about what certain dishes were, how they were prepared, and what to expect from a spice level. The girl who took our order was patient and thorough in her explanation, which we appreciated greatly. She said that everything is prepared at a mild spice level but can be increased, but we opted for mild. We ordered the butter chicken, the tandoori chicken, an order of rice, plain naan, and fountain drinks.It was busy the night we visited (a family of around 20 people took up half of the restaurant), so they said it would be a 30-40 minute wait. We knew the food was cooked to order and is authentic, and it was a busy weekend night, so we had no concern waiting.The food came quickly despite being busy. The butter chicken was lovely. The chicken was prepared perfectly: tender and flavorful with the slightest hint of spice. The sauce was creamy and delicious without having an overwhelmingly tomato flavor. The rice was cooked just right and the naan was lovely. If I had any critique of the food it would be that the naan was possibly rolled or stretched slightly too thin at the middle, leaving it quite crispy. Nearer the edges were soft and pliable. Not a complaint in the slightest, just a personal preference.The tandoori chicken came out last. Several full chicken legs, covered in a deep red sauce. Deep, complex flavors. However, Zaika's definition of "mild" and ours are somewhat different. ? Not a criticism, but the chicken was slightly spicier than I expected and much spicier than my wife expected. The flavor was incredible, but the heat was too much for our underdeveloped palates. Next visit, we'll ask for no spice to make sure we can both enjoy to the fullest extent.Following dinner, the owner and head chef came to the table to chat. We congratulated her on the 24-hour change to their hours and she let us know about the plans for the Zaika Express food truck. She offered to make us something not on the menu if we ask on our next visit, which was incredibly generous. She even gave us a sample container of something else on the menu to take home (something with potatoes and soy beans--I feel terrible not knowing what it's called!). She was so sweet and made us feel like family.It was a wonderful experience for an on-a-whim dinner, and we cannot wait to visit again and try more.”

“We haven't been here since pre Covid & with a different name! Nice updates & absolutely wonderful service. Waitress was so attentive & engaging. Nice booths & a few tables in the front, with a room with big tables at the back. We started with a medium order of onion rings & they were fine. They're a bit different so that was fun to try. Four sizes of rings offered & medium was perfect. They came quickly! Our medium 1/2 sausage 1/2 pepperoni pizza was tasty. It, too, was the perfect size, with a couple of pieces leftover. It's a fine pizza place & we noted several takeouts.”

“Nice, clean and peaceful. Came on a Saturday night and didn't have a problem with a wait. Appetizers and entrees were hot and clearly made from scratch. Always a good sign when you ask for something specially made and it's not a problem. Also, if you like hot and sour soup, this was the best I've ever had. Seriously. Definitely coming back. “Absolutely delicious! I had the Pineapple Chicken meal, which came with steamed rice, crab Rangoon, macaroni salad & a drink. Hubby had the Chicken Katsu, which came with steamed rice and macaroni salad. His chicken was so crispy and delicious. We also split an order of Spam Musubi. Everything was amazing and both were large portions, we both ended up taking part of our meals home. 10/10 recommend. Great prices and friendly staff!”

“I have eaten here too many times to count--at least 80-100 times over the past 15 years! Best cheeseburger and fries (ask them to make the fries extra crispy!!)! Their bacon wrapped tator tots and their humongous tenderloins are something you shouldn't miss either. For that matter, everything is good! Beer is cold! And the place is clean! Don't just drive by! Stop in and have a bite to eat!”

In the area almost exactly a year, have taking in all the restaurants and this is my first review. Portofino’s- Seated immediately, great atmosphere. Free/fresh garlic bread, honestly I could have eaten just that and brought 4 more home! Fresh, hot, still steaming to our table food! Chicken and Shrimp Milanese-with so much to bring home easily one more meal. Kids baked zeti with meatballs, easily 2 portions for a younger kid, maybe another half portion came home for my 7 year old. Cannoli-AMAZING. Finally 2 fountain drinks. Personal observations and highlights for me if you made it this far! (I have many family members in the restaurant business even owning high end restaurants in Denver). Although they were assigned specific tables, I have never been to a restaurant where every server acknowledges every table and adresses a need as they walk by. Servers seating new guest, filling drinks of other tables, clearing other tables, the list goes on and on! All working together, I did not see many tasks being completed alone. I didn’t not get a drink from the bar but I noticed the bar tender did not just fill the order and let it sit for the server. He personally took the drinks to the table if he noticed the server was busy(also I assume there may have been servers under 21 honestly). The service I witnessed tonight really showed a family, locally owned business with great leadership. Clearly employees who are well cared for and love their job. Loved that it was packed but I did not hear the table to either side of me very much. My daughter and I had a conversation and played a game while waiting for food just fine. Enjoyed that there were babies to elderly all seated in the same area around the restaurant. Let’s be honest most places seat all the families together away from couples, ect. This did not appear to be the case here. Big groups to a single person all treated with the same excellent service. Definitely family friendly or a place for a nice date night! We will be back A LOT! Pizza is next! That was the plan for tonight but that quickly changed when we looked at the menu. Looking forward to the many years this family restaurant will be feeding my family and many others! A true dining experience!”

I love how I didn't have to ask for any extra dressing for my side salad, they put just the right amount for you. The grilled chicken breast was cooked perfectly, as well as the grilled onions and mushrooms it was smothered in. The broccoli & cheese soup blew me away. It had more seasoning than I'm used to, but was absolutely incredible! Being new to the area, this is by far my favorite place in the two months I've been here. I couldn't help but watch every plate that came out of the kitchen to see how awesome it looked. Take my word for it., the food looked incredible! I wish I wasn't trying to lose weight, because I would try everything on the menu within a week!
