Food was good, but service was TERRIBLE. Took an hour to get our food, and the waitress acted like she was doing us a favor by answering our polite question about the reason for the delay.
Always decent but not remarkable food and terrible service. We took a year off of eating here because service is always too poor to bring family in for dinner. We had to go inside 3 separate times during meal to ask for silverware, for refills on drinks, and to ask to pay our bill after waiting 30 minutes after food was finished. We saw waitress only twice (to order and to bring food). After going inside to ask to pay we were told our waitress was off the clock but no one replaced...read full review

We'd never been to Founders before but our friends frequent a place in Ames that they said is owned by same people. Server was very nice and polite. Bloody Mary bar was great. The food was disappointing but then I remind myself it is a bar, and it was cheap.
