Unfortunately the service was poor. The food was mediocre and the atmosphere was just OK outside on their patio on a late September Sunday morning when there was very few customers. I would not recommend this place.

We tried Founders for the first time about a week ago. It was… fine. I think there’s a lot of potential here, and I think the food would have been good, if it had been hot.
We were there in the early afternoon, after any potential lunch rush. There were a couple of tables with people at it but it definitely wasn’t busy by any means. This is what made the lukewarm food so confusing. It felt like it had been sitting there for a while before it was brought out.
Also, side note, how is this an “Irish Pub” if there’s no Irish food?
Anyway, we started with Pretzel Sticks. It came out the same time as our meals. I got the Grilled Cheese with Ham and my husband got the Grinder. Everything was fine, but lukewarm. I would be interested in trying again if the food came out hot and fresh.

Founders Irish Pub in Bondurant did the catering for my daughter's wedding and I'm telling you, it was delicious! The Banquet Hall upstairs was perfect for her day and the staff was amazing! We chose chicken breasts, pulled pork, salad, garlic mashed potatoes, and sauted green beans. I would highly recommend!
We reserved Founder's Irish Pub for a wedding rehearsal dinner upstairs, and it turned out fantastic. We were able to use the area to our liking, decorate it beforehand, work directly with the staff on what food and drinks we would serve, and everything worked out perfectly. We had plenty of space, the food was delicious, hot, ready, and easy to serve to our guests. The staff remained there to help us out with drinks and anything else we needed, and everything was seamless and simple for us. The downstairs environment was also energetic, accommodating, and fun, we got a chance to play some pool as well. We'd only been here once now, but we loved it. Thanks to the staff for helping us and being awesome!

I hate making posts like this cause I'm sure it's not like this all the time. Came here for a family dinner since one of our family members used to work here. Arrived at 530 for the fried taco special and they were out at 530. We ordered appetizers and they took forever to get there. Most of our party of 8 got there food super super slow or the order was wrong. There were not alot of people so I kind of expected better service. The server informed us there was only her and the cook who was new and spoke no English. I honestly felt bad for her I didn't even complain about my $17 mug of beer. Needless to say, I was disappointed, but try it out. Maybe you'll have better luck. Nice open patio.

Food wasn't great - didn't bring what was ordered and the other item was cold. Waitress wasn't accommodating. Saw a review to that their card was abused twice - checked my card and $4.00 was added that I didn't authorize. I had to call to get it refunded. I also had 2 pre authorization charges of $17.72 and $4.00 while my friends only had pre authorization of $1. Don't recommend.
