We stopped in for a late lunch on a Saturday after hiking. We enjoyed a nicely made Cobb salad & fresh grilled pork tenderloin sandwich. And the cherry chocolate cake was delicious! Amazing price for all of that, and quick, friendly service too! Will visit again.

Very nice hidden gem for a family visiting the area. We were staying at Lake Darling State Park, and this was a great place for a hearty breakfast before spending the day outside.

What a great find! Homemade food and fresh baked goods. Traveling through the area and found this gem. I had the Chicken Cordon bleu soup, probably one of my favorite soups ever. BLT was perfect as was the Apple Turnover. My colleague had the special of the day which was meatballs with potatoes and gravy...she loved it. Broccoli salad was a big winner too.

We ordered cupcakes and decorated sugar cookies for our baby shower. The cupcakes were great. We got so many compliments about how cute onesie and animals cookies were, plus they are probably the best decorated sugar cookies we've ever had. We liked them so much, we ordered more to have a special treat for the long days and nights with a newborn.

We hired Wooden Spoon Bakery to make our wedding cake and cupcakes. We were able to go in and do a cake test, as well as try their amazing food in their cafe! They delivered our order to our venue and set it up nicely for us on our dessert table exactly how I described to them. The cake and cupcakes went so fast with our guests and were amazing! I loved that they had such a variety of flavors and options. They made all the flavors that I wanted, exactly how I wanted and experimented with new kinds for me. They were also available to always answer questions that I had. I would highly recommend them! Thank you so much for everything!

I was coming back from visiting Cedar Valley Winery and decided to stop here for brunch based on the reviews. I had a regular breakfast and it was good but the best part was the pastry. It was very very tasty. Locals were pretty friendly. They knew I was from IA but was not sure which part. Please note that the hours are 9 am to 2 pm on Wednesday and 7 am to 2 pm on Thursday to Saturday. There is parking but indoor seating is limited. There is some outdoor seating. All in all a great place to eat; next time I may just get the special. It was locally delicious. Highly recommend the place.

It's a cute and small café! Really good food and feels welcoming. The coffee is great and the ladies here are very nice and make you feel like mom is asking you what you want for breakfast.
