Excellent fried rice combo, and Pho combo
Small Thai restaurant with delicious food and good service. The Crab Rangoon had a light flaky wonton wrapper and mild flavored filling. The filling had green onion slices that was fresh and flavor full, and the sweet and sour sauce was delicious. I liked them and ordered some to go. From the main course I ordered Pad Kee Mao with beef Thai hot. The Pad Kee Mao sauce was delicious with the perfect amount of spiciness. The vegetables were fresh and crisp, the beef was tender and tasted beefy. I was pleasantly surprised with Enoki mushrooms rather than cheaper button mushrooms. My only disappointment was the noodles being overcooked. The noodles were very soft, but I prefer my noodles to be al dente, slightly chewy. I did ask if they had Prik Nam Pla, but unfortunately they don't have the sauce regularly made. Pookie did say she would make some if I wanted her to, excellent service. A good alternative would be bottles of fish sauce at table and food served with lime slices, although you miss out on the extra chiles, but they did have chile sauce at the table. I didn't try the chilies as food was perfectly seasoned and didn't need more. If you like Thai food I recommend trying the food, and if you haven't eaten Thai food before go try some. Burlington is lucky to have such a nice Thai restaurant which aren't always easy to find in rural areas. One more thing, the menu I uploaded is the Dinner menu. My understanding is they have a limited lunch menu with daily specials posted on Facebook every day they are open.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a small step at the front door. I don't believe the step will prevent wheelchair access with assistance.

Pookies Thai is fantastic! They are a family restaurant, so it's a good idea to look on their Facebook page if they'll be open or not. But we really loved the curry and fried rice, and my 4 yr old devoured the stir fry!

great service and great flavors. we went here for lunch on our anniversary. they offer a daily menu, and we asked if any of the dishes were vegetarian. the waitress said they weren’t, but they were happy to provide an off-menu vegetarian option. it ended up being a tasty tofu stir fry. we now understand why one of our friends drives an hour just to eat here!

This was my first time there tonight. I got my meals to go. It was packed with so many people. I mean body to body and I think that says a lot! I am from a melting pot state which is Illinois. They have soooo many Thai restaurants there. But this place is a diamond in the rough. The Pad Thai (veggie) Reminds me of home. It is very delicious, sweet with plenty of flavor just made to perfection. The crab Rangoon's are light and flakey and fried with a beautiful Tan color. I also ordered the Beef Pad Sei Ew. Beef is so tender with a burst of garlic chips in the meal. I mean you will not be disappointed and that is why I gave them five stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The place is tiny and busy. It only seats maybe 25 people, the atmosphere is alright and welcoming but certainly bland. The food on the other hand is the best Asian cuisine I've had in the tri state area. The flavors are rich and unique. The cooks definitely feel authentic and knowledgeable. I highly recommend trying pookies and just ask for the cooks suggestion.

Had dinner here the night before Ragbrai, after biking to Burlington from Peoria Illinois.
Very good choice, had the green curry, egg roll and rice ball.
I will definitely be back
Vegetarian options: Most options can be made with tofu instead of meat.

The Pho is the best and Pookie is the sweetest most hard working soul I’ve ever encountered! Love this place and love her ❤️
Just had the tom kha soup. It is excellent. You should really really try it.
