“This is the best pizza in iowa! Absolutely love it. Mike does a great job with all menu items! Went there in 1975 for the first time, had a ribeye dinner that was wonderful for $3.99. Prices have gone up some, but qua is still ”
“Amazing food and service was great. Didn’t start out great for me didn’t have the beer I wanted and were out of oysters. Server was very helpful and was able to get me some extra scallops for my meal. They didn’t have to do that but much appreciated for going the extra mile.”
“My favorite little corner for Mexican food. Way better than the other local options. Verde salsa of the gods! I get steak enchiladas verdes every time I go and they've NEVER been anything short of delicious.Parking: They are on a corner with no side street parking. You have to find a spot on Jefferson or south on the side street beside Hopefully Yours. It's worth the short walk!”
“I ordered the (breakfast pizza?) and it was really good; I also had the Love Potion lotus drink and it was also very good, just wish they can make those drinks even in an XL size or something $$I expect to be back again, and they also have a small water jug and cups for convenience ;)Really, I'd change nothing; overall fine experience, Thanks again ;) $$-Alejandro G.”
“This is a great family owned business. Try the stuffed pizza, it's great. Stuffed pizza, if you've never had it, is like stuffed crust but the whole pizza is stuffed. TRY IT! Currently they only offer drive thru. Like them/follow them on Facebook to see if they open the dining room.”
“Jerry’s Main Lunch. What can I say? …iconic old-school greasy spoon diner. The best! The staff are friendly. The food is amazing! And the prices are extremely reasonable. The locally made cinnamon rolls are huge! I’ve paid 5-times the price for places that aren’t even close to being as good as this. This will always be my go-to when I’m in Burlington Iowa.”
“Good breakfast, prices can’t be beat, and service was awesome as always. Good place for a quick bite. Not a lot of parking. ONLY TAKES CASH, just as a heads up.”
“So here's the deal... I grew up in NY surrounded by the BEST Italian food. Throughout my life I have traveled to different areas of the US and the world. I know how I like my Italian.I just finished eating at La Travola in Burlington Iowa. Now that's my kind of Italian!I went for lunch and had the Eggplant Parmesan! Magnificent! Real eggplant, real house made sauce, real house made salad dressing. The plating was sizable (had to request a take away box).I loved the atmosphere. This is a small restaurant - like being at Nona's house. I was seated quickly - lunch service was just starting - but by the time I left there were people waiting to be seated. Reservations for dinner service would be best.My server was Sam. She was personable, knowledgeable, and efficient.I will definitely return.Vegetarian options: Eggplant, pasta with marinara sauce salads”
“Chef Jared’s food is always amazing. Burlington is so lucky to have him and his little restaurant, the Hawaiiowan.A lot of love and imagination goes into this food. Portions are large and satisfying. I recently got the bibimbap with beef and the beet + goat cheese salad—amazing and I had lots left over for lunch the next day. Atmosphere is cozy and the drinks yummy. Great dessert drinks and menu too—I love the bread pudding!I have not tried them, but there are also lots of vegan options! The restaurant is on the smaller side so I definitely recommend making dinner reservations on the weekend. Thanks for all the love and hard work you put into the Hawaiiowan, Jared!Vegetarian options: There is a vegan menu.”
“We always like going down here the service is so friendly love the group and love trying all the different sangrias that they experiment with Becca is fantastic!”
“I live close to this place and Darcy is always Accommodating and friendly. Clean and comfortable atmosphere not a bad crowd. Good food and plenty do do from darts to pool to playing D.N.R MACHINES for tickets.”
“One of the best bars in Burlington! The people are super nice (staff and patrons both) and the place is very clean. They've got several dart boards, games, pool table, and they served an amazing Thanksgiving dinner this year. Please come here on your night out!”
“Food was good. I like the fact that they have the ingredients on the table to add you own level of heat to your dish. Service was questionable. My wife question our server about the difference in tea, and ordered hot tea as did I. The server misunderstood ( the place was extremely noisy)and brought thai ice tea. When we explained the error.....server got very defensive and started lecturing my wife, who by this time, was getting very upset. I gave my wife my hot tea, and I took the thai ice tea just to calm the situation. From that point on, server never came back . However, the other server stepped up and took care of our needs. The place was small, crowded, and noisy, but we were ok with all that, as long as the service and food was good. I would go again, but I would have to go alone because my wife refuses to step back through their door.I rate it 7 out of 10. Service is key!”
“Picked up a lunch of brisket, beans and Cole slaw at Dillons BBQ drive-thru window. Delicious brisket was tender and juicy. Enjoyed the BBQ sauce, beans and cole slaw. Dillons BBQ is our now our choice for take-out and BBQ on US 61.”
“Damn good food, atmosphere, music was a really cool eclectic mix. The hanger steak was perfectly cooked and tender but did have an extremely salty element. Great, helpful service!”
