Our server took care of all our needs and made sure we were enjoying ourselves. The atmosphere was on pare with what I would expect from this level of a restaurant. Clean cool and a overall relaxing vibe. Apart from being in the middle of the restaurant without a view of the great Mississippi River it was comfortable and couldn't ask for much better!”

“Just being in a cozy small dinner brought back memories of what I call the good ole days and even the bacon cheeseburger and fries that I ordered just took me back even more for it was so good. I haven't had a cheeseburger and fries that were that good in a very long time. I'll definitely be back and sample everything on their menu. Plus the conversations with the waitress and the cook was something else too. I felt like I've been a customer for a long time when I left. “What a gem for Fort Madison. A must if you are visiting or passing through Fort Madison! Home ground coffee and homemade syrups. Oh yes, and friendly staff. What more could you ask for?”

“If you want a very good home cooked country breakfast then look no further than The Hungry Bear in Burlington, Iowa. The food here is absolutely delicious and made with genuine homemade ingredients. The flavor and seasoning in and on the food is absolutely amazing 👏. Oh and don't get me started on the portions of the food. They give you so much you will be taking leftovers home I can tell you that unless you're really hungry than you can probably handle the huge portions.
It's a nice little place tucked away in the downtown part of Burlington. The staff and waitress is very friendly and always checking in on you for a refill on your beverage and to make sure the food is good. Better get there early on the weekends because it does get busy but for good reasoning that food is something everyone wants. So go check it out you will enjoy each bite you take for sure.”
