Been years since we've stopped in at the Paddle wheel lounge. Stopped by for a beer last night, Cheryl the sweet lady greeted me by name, I had no clue she ran it. I knew her from the Edgewatergrille at the casino..sure glad we stopped by. Very friendly place to go. Will be going back soon, love the atmosphere..
The Hospitality that I received on a (late) Sunday afternoon was Outstanding! I'm local (per SE IA); albiet the 1st time I've been in the ol' "Paddlewheel" in 5+ years, & - She ain't "lookin ol" these days! - The Bar has the same Feel; however the back brings the "Lounge" Rhetoric out of its 'Namesake'! - It's beautiful out back back... Drinks are not watered down and reasonably priced. Dunker, the proprietor, is often on site, chatting with his customers and ensuring a good time. The place is packed during prime hours and while you may at times be shoulder to shoulder, the vibe of the place for the most part is pretty good.
