Good peeps, nosh & swig!
I love going to lunch here. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The salads are huge. I've enjoyed the Reuben, the schweinshaxe, schnitzel, french dip, and the drunken potato soup. I have never tried any of the brews but have seen others enjoying them. They have different events, I enjoyed the sip and paint. Next I'm going to try the Bavarian nachos and maybe bingo night. They also have out back a huge outside eating area that's very nice.
Our first time here and overall the food and drinks were quite good. The staff was very friendly but the wait times for everything was extremely long considering it was not at all busy when we arrived.
Although a small beer selection we tried 3 and all were excellent. Devilled egg appetizer was very good but had to finally flag down someone to order dinner. My wife tried a sample of a beer, liked it, but no one ever came to see if she wanted to order one. Ordered a dessert to go and 20 minutes later were told they were out! So, ordered a different one. Took another 20 minutes.
So overall a decent experience but to be honest I can't imagine going there when it's busy as it would seem to be a very long experience! And there were plenty of employees working when we were there so the slowness was a mystery. Not bad, but doubtful of a return visit.
I have had many great experiences at this brewery in downtown Burlington! The drinks, food, and Sunday brunch has all been quality.
My wife and I stopped into Burlington, IA on way home. We wanted to drive Snake Alley. While in the town, we decided to drive around to check it out. We stumbled across this brewery and decided to stop. We split the pretzel, beer cheese and a flight of beers. The pretzel was standard. Beer cheese was fantastic. The beer was really good. The atmosphere was nice and servers were top notch. We would come back for sure.
Such and excellent place! What an awesome place to hold the Iowa Creative Places Exchange meeting! The food and service was great and such an amazing example of a creative place! Such a positive atmosphere and experience. We are grateful for this amazing opportunity and all of the valuable information which was shared to our group!
My husband and I were in town for the weekend and this was on our list to try. Absolutely worth it! Great food, atmosphere and service. Loved having many Gluten free items to choose from.
A surprising gem in the small town of Burlington. The the high amount of chain restaurants and subpar in the area make The Busted Cup a must visit spot. The locally brewed beers are an added delight. Bonus there is a market filled with meats a cheeses.
Must skip if you are traveling through town. You’ll wait at the bar for 15min, just for them to not serve you because you don’t have an Iowa driver license.
Sunday brunch buffet had very limited options, less than what was advertised. The food was just okay. If you don't love prime rib and bratwurst, don't do the buffet. Service wasn't the best either, but not to worry as 18% buffet gratuity was mandatory! 2 adults and a six year old cost $95 and we were still hungry when we left. We were so disappointed 😞.

Came in for brunch buffet. Prime rib was great.Very Limited selection on other food. Definitely not all the foods listed on there description! And they add a18%" buffet gratuity" to your bill!
The kids and I went to try it out for the first time this week. Best service I’ve had in years!! Food and atmosphere were wonderful!

I had the Sausage, Peppers and Onion entree with warm German Potato Salad. I choose the Thuringer and pineapple and swiss cheese bratwurst. My husband had the pulled chicken sandwich. The sauce tasted a little like Maple and Cinnamon. Excellent flavor. Service was also excellent. I would definitely come back here. Server DW. He was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu.
