Pivo brewery was one of our favorite places to stay on our road trip from Florida up to Michigan. We parked our RV there overnight, through the Harvest Hosts program. We liked everything about it.The vibe and atmosphere were cool.The employees were friendly and told us about other places to see in Iowa.For food, we started with the High, Wide, and Handsome Swirls. They are swirls of dough, with stuff inside such as pepperoni. Then we got a pizza. The swirls were fun, and the pizza was delicious.For drinks, they had so many options that sounded good, so Bret got a flight. They all tasted good and unique. For example, the red beer was a strawberry rhubarb sour. And the dark beer at the top was a (takes a deep breath), bourbon barrel aged salted caramel dark chocolate brownie milk stout ?.As for parking overnight through the Harvest Host program, the site was clean and pretty level, and the outside noise wasn't bad at night when we were sleeping.We would love to come back here.

Our son and his wife had their wedding reception in the event center and we cannot rave enough about how wonderful Sara and the team were. They went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. All tables were set up with social distancing in mind for us and when we forgot serving pieces for cake cutting, it was taken care of. We were short on a couple of extensions cords after decorating and planned to bring them the day of the wedding. When we arrived, Sara had taken the liberty of finding some and had plugged everything in for us to just enjoy the evening with family. It’s the perfect venue with the perfect team. Thank you for making our son and his wife’s day safe and perfect for everyone. ☺️

Coming in here feels like going to the local neighborhood joint where the staff makes you feel like family and the patrons all know each other from around town. This is our second time here and it's so wonderful to go to a brewery where there's also some food to complement the delicious taps. I got a flight of four: 1. Old Balltown: my favorite. Barrel-aged but is smooth and not too strong as far as that husky feel on the tongue. Lovely aftertaste. 2. Castalia Chocolate Raspberry Stout: raspberry is definitely a good balance with stout. Very delicious. 3. Wadena Whiskey Wee Heavy: ale with strong hint of molasses. Just so so good! 4. Muscatine Brett: yummy ale. Too hard not to love them all! The spicy smoked pretzels, old fashion brat, beer cheese and pretzel are all delicious Brewery food!
