Our first visit to The Smoky Dough restaurant in Calmar was a smashing success.The owners are super friendly, the restaurant is comfy, and the food is mouth watering.The brisket with the master’s own seasoning was to die for and the boasted chicken was crunchy and moist. Both entrees came with two sides. Tony and I both had the garlic smashed potatoes and cole slaw. Yummy!

Ended up walking in an hour early by accident with some buddies of mine and trace and Debbie were so nice they said we could stay and made us some pizzas. It was hands down one of the best pizzas I've ever had and they made it In front of us. Highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

I am a Luther College student that likes to venture out and try new places. The Smoky Dough was a recommendation for me to visit, and now I keep coming back. The staff are very friendly people that are always excited to see my friends and I when we visit. Also, the food is phenomenal! I usually get the BBQ chicken loaded mac, and it’s AMAZING. Plus, the slushies are also amazing. This is an incredible local restaurant, and I highly recommend!

Super friendly staff. Ordered the buffalo chicken calzone. AMAZING. House made ranch, blend of Italian herbs and Parmesan crust, overflowing with melted mozzarella, and the homemade crust with the perfect amount of char! Definitely will be back.
