I ordered the honey pepper tenders and pasta. It was disgusting. The quality of tenders they use is really weird. Did not have the honey pepper sauce and the pasta was extremely dry.. I had the same from Waterloo but it was delicious. I don't know, it's like they didn't care at all.. just threw it together.

My husband and I first went to the Waterloo Applebees, which was a circus. Then we went to Cedar Falls, where it was very organized and the food was great. Our host, Quincy and waitress, Victoria were very friendly. I tried to leave a review on the table kiosk, but when I paused to answer my husband’s question, the review timed out and locked me out.

My boyfriend and I (both Navy veterans) visited the Applebee’s in Cedar Falls yesterday for the Veterans Day free meal. We were really appreciative of the gesture, and overall, the experience started out great, the food was delicious, and the service was quick and friendly.
However, something did rub me the wrong way. Our server made a point to mention several times about “add-ons or upgrades” to our meal since our meals were free. It caught me off guard — we were already aware the meal was complimentary but having it pointed out like that took away from the appreciation the offer was meant to show. I also overheard her saying the same thing to other veteran tables around us.
I completely understand that working those days can be tough, especially when not everyone tips appropriately, but it would’ve felt more genuine if the focus had stayed on thanking veterans rather than reminding us of what wasn’t included. Just some feedback for management, the meal and the gesture were great, but a little extra sensitivity in how it’s presented would make a big difference.

I came here after a stage reading with my cast and I FORGOT to give my 5 STAR review for Kayla and Quincy. I had such a deep guilt on forgetting to do so, their service was just so great the memory lingered with me for days. I can’t wait to come back!

legendary experience. Kayla was so hilarious and nice, Quincy was an absolute G and gave me like 7 cherries in my shirley temple. food was delicious, had a great time thanks 🙏
