They’re hanging on to that certified Cedar Falls dive bar with a 4 star rating. The BR cleaned up for awhile by killing some ambiance by 86ing the old bathrooms with some fresh ones from Menards. How long will it last…well the writings on the walls. Many of the old regulars are gone and their seats taken by youngsters working on that Regular Degree that takes a lifetime of repeated stories, weekday hangovers and play next jukebox selections. True dive bars stand the test of time by doing nothing because that dive bar feel is taken care of by the the regulars and visitors who still understand that to drink all day ya have to start in the morning. A good bartender is a tuff find these days. Always a revolving door with a few that get it but more that don’t. It’s a tough job that regularly will put you in a position to go down that dirty dead end dive bar road that many don’t make it back from. The BRs current slinging lineup seems pretty solid to me. With so many bars in Cedar Falls having that add water and mix feeling it’s good to see the Blue Room hanging on to the spirit of what I dive should be. Cheers🤪
Dietary restrictions: Chips, slim Jim’s and left overs from nearby restaurants just chilling in the cooler. Lots of liquid lunch types some even
Parking: Theirs parking here and there. You just have to be focused
