I took my parents out for their birthdays and wanted to try the BB since it had been years since I ate there. The crab dip tasted like pure green onions and each of our prime rib was so tough that after about 5 bites we decided we had enough of the chewing and took it to go. No one wanted it bc the flavor too was not good! For $32/ea I expected way better. I was extremely disappointed.
Have always been a fan of the Chicken Marsala at the Brown Bottle. Tonight I was a little disappointed with my Marsala from the Cedar Falls Brown Bottle. If you look at the online menu it says "Chicken baked in marsala wine with fresh mushrooms and mozzarella cheese". Mine had hardly any cheese and only 2 small mushroom slivers. I said something to the waitress and manager and he said the Waterloo location puts bigger mushrooms on it. He did offer to microwave me a few extra...read full review
Brown Bottle is one of my daughter’s favorites to go out to for our “fancy daddy daughter dinners”. The food and atmosphere are always so incredible and inviting. Great food and drink selection and the specials are always tasty. Our server tonight (I believe was Audrey) was awesome and even my daughter commented how hard working and nice she is. Can’t recommend Brown Bottle enough for any occasion!
