Cedar Falls Brown Bottle

I took my parents out for their birthdays and wanted to try the BB since it had been years since I ate there. The crab dip tasted like pure green onions and each of our prime rib was so tough that after about 5 bites we decided we had enough of the chewing and took it to go. No one wanted it bc the flavor too was not good! For $32/ea I expected way better. I was extremely disappointed.

Delicious food, friendly wait staff who didn't mind that we showed up within an hour of closing. Great atmosphere, and nice views of the outdoors and the river.

We love coming here when in Cedar Falls. We are still sad they left Iowa City?. If you haven't been here, your missing out on fabulous food, service and the white experience. There's a kids menu, so bring them along! You will not be sorry!
We also tried their take and bake lasagna and bacon Mac n cheese at home and that was great too!!

Have always been a fan of the Chicken Marsala at the Brown Bottle. Tonight I was a little disappointed with my Marsala from the Cedar Falls Brown Bottle. If you look at the online menu it says "Chicken baked in marsala wine with fresh mushrooms and mozzarella cheese". Mine had hardly any cheese and only 2 small mushroom slivers. I said something to the waitress and manager and he said the Waterloo location puts bigger mushrooms on it. He did offer to microwave me a few extra mushrooms if I would like. The chicken and wine sauce had good flavor but if we go back again we will go to the Waterloo location for the full Marsala experience with cheese and mushrooms

There was 4 of us we had lasagna and pizza food was great, serving size plenty. Only thing I wished we would have been seated in a open area because of 3 large handicap older people.

This is my birthday and other celebration worthy events restaurant. I haven't ordered a thing that I didn't absolutely love. The food is fantastic, the atmosphere is great, and the service is amazing!

The food and service are top notch. !!!!

The rooms are too crowed and noisy. The tables hold many people but the interior needs to be redesigned.

Dietary restrictions: Asked for my salad to be chopped. Very accommodating.

Food was pricey, but the servings were very large and it was delicious. Coming from going to the Waterloo Brown Bottle my whole life to the Cedar Falls location, the ambience is kind of lacking and the layout is labyrinthine. Sort of just felt like I was eating in a renovated office. It’s definitely worth a trip.
