We ordered a pizza last Saturday night as we do from time to time. When I arrived to pick it up, they had misunderstood our order and made two pizzas rather than one. The manager came out and asked if I would be ok taking both pizzas and only charged for one. As always, the pizza was delicious, and customer service was top-notch!!

Got the pesto veggie tortellini with chicken and it was great! Goat cheese, bacon and dates was great. Server was attentive. Atmosphere was dim, relaxing, and perfect for a date night

I'm so completely disappointed. I've moved, but make it a point of visiting our favorite place if I can. Party of 6 (we brought friends) of us visiting for the overnight Ragbrai Event. Reservations made weeks in advance. Drinks ordered, Jenna comes back and says they can't make me an Aperol Spritz because they would have to open a new bottle of Proseco. They WOULD do that, IF I was going to have at least 2? Changed my order to soda water. The whole table is thinking what the heck?? Most dishes ordered were very sub-par. Salad lettuce had that out of a bag smell/taste or maybe the carrots....... the BB Italian dressing has an added sweet element that was off-putting. The signature lasagna noodles were not good. I thought in the past they were homemade, but these had a wave to them, obviously machine made and very tough (not just al dente). Hubby's garlic pasta with chicken lacked any garlic flavor, and both chicken and pasta were dry. The biggest disappointment was the garlic bread. Used to be made with French bread cut diagonally brushed with a good quality garlic olive oil and toasted. This bread was a bad Sysco product, no garlic, and only one side was toasted. Jenna, after bringing my soda water, kept trying to refill with tap water several times. No desserts, we were just done with the evening.

I took my parents out for their birthdays and wanted to try the BB since it had been years since I ate there. The crab dip tasted like pure green onions and each of our prime rib was so tough that after about 5 bites we decided we had enough of the chewing and took it to go. No one wanted it bc the flavor too was not good! For $32/ea I expected way better. I was extremely disappointed.

I lived in the cfalls/waterloo area many years, and always loved the Brown Bottles food. I now live in Florida, and when i come back to visit friends, the first place i go to eat is the BB. The lasagna is hands down , the best ever. On a scale of one to ten, they are a TWENTY. Michael Kragel Ft Myers Fl

Delicious food, friendly wait staff who didn't mind that we showed up within an hour of closing. Great atmosphere, and nice views of the outdoors and the river.
