⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Doughy Joey’s – Waterloo, Iowa
If heaven had a waiting room, they’d serve Doughy Joey’s pizza and ice-cold beer while you waited. I walked in and before I could even sit down, Andrew had a drink in my hand with a smile. I don’t know if he moonlights as The Flash, but the service was so fast I checked my pulse just to make sure time hadn’t skipped.
The pizza? Unreal, i tried the Chicago style. The crust is the kind of perfect that makes you rethink your life choices, the toppings are so generous I wondered if I needed to tip the chef directly, and the cheese stretches farther than my gym membership ever did.
The beer? Let’s just say the bartender Kait slid me one that was so ice cold I thought it might have come straight from Antarctica. Pretty sure my taste buds stood up and saluted.
Huge shoutout to the bartender world-class pours. And the owner Andrew? Absolute MVP. You can tell this whole ship sails smooth because they’re at the helm, steering the pizza party with precision.
Bottom line: with Kait’s incredible service, pizza that belongs in the Smithsonian, and beer that could cool the sun, Doughy Joey’s is therapy with cheese.

The pizza's excessive grease caused the crust to become soggy, while the dessert pizza was overcooked, with an unappealing dark brown and hard bottom. Our waitress lacked personality and only inquired about our meal or offered refills as we were preparing to leave. The women's restroom was also unclean and disgusting, featuring a clogged toilet stall and blood spots on the floor of the handicap stall. Furthermore, the napkin dispenser and drink menus were dirty and sticky. We were thoroughly disappointed and do not plan to return.

Atmosphere is great. Chicago style isn’t Gios or Lou’s but is the go to if you want Chicago style… Don’t get the New York or cheese breadsticks.

Had a party of 21 family members in tonight. I called yesterday and reserved the party room. The manager asked for an email order ahead of time, if possible, which worked great for us. The space was perfect and private. Our server was attentive and super nice and the food was amazing! We had 3 people needing Gluten Free crust and it wasn't an issue! I would highly reccomendations them for your next gathering!

This is some of the worst pizza I've had in a while. It was so oily. Things just slide right off the top of the pizza. I ordered the vegetable pizza. It had a weird after taste. Not sure from which vegetable. My friend got the cheese pizza. It was so oily, it almost felt watery when eating. The service was also pretty subpar, but it is exactly what every other place is like nowadays. I do not plan on returning.
